That's why there's such much venom directed at 'vigilante' residency fraud reporters. Without them, few would be caught.

It's not really venom? It's more like, we are incredulous that you take your vigilante residence fraud detection services so seriously. Like really, I can get a lot of mileage at cocktail parties talking about you and camera.

You mean at these parties in your Maryland community?

This is just absurd. If you have to advertise your party as "Grown and Sexy" it is anything but. Too ridiculous

Someone noted this in the press release on unaudited enrollment numbers this year at DCPS and charters:

Interesting that the press release explicitly mentions residency cheaters:

"In addition, OSSE is running a transit ad campaign to encourage the reporting of non-residents receiving a free District-funded public education."

I still can't believe people lie for the privilege of going to DC schools. I would lie and cheat not to go to DC charters and publics.

I get it. Imagine you are a single parent living in PG county. You grew up in DC and still have family here - and you work in DC. DCPS offers free PK3 and aftercare - PG County doesn't.

Also as has been stated here repeatedly, almost every DC school does well with early ed.

At pickup at Noyes today, I counted 7 Maryland cars, and one DC car. (Most of the children are walkers).

I'm sorry, but they should find the real cheaters and haul them out of their vehicles in handcuffs, right at drop-off. Then ticket their Maryland cars.

Hey yeah, and we should make their sobbing five year olds stand in a line while your five year old scream and throw stones at them. You sociopath.

What do you think happens to people who break the law? They are arrested while their kids sob. It isn't pretty.

Why are you here then? And this shows how little you know of DC schools.

I don't believe it's a criminal offense. It is a civil offense for monetary damages.

Free something is rarely good something. I get it you have a social service that poor people and cheaters are flocking to, that in of its self make it less attractive even before considering the meh facilities and IB population. Arlington all the way thank you

It is a criminal offense. It's called fraud and theft of services. If these parents want a DC facility, send them to Lorton.

The sociopaths are the ones who teach their kids that it is ok to lie and cheat and essentially steal stuff that you are not entitled to take. They train their kids to always be on guard not to disclose where they live and never to invite a classmate home, until finally a kid blurts out something like "What ward is Landover in? I live there."

So, then she should move back to DC, pay taxes as required and register her car, and comply with the other laws.
