I understand where you’re coming from. There’s so many other missing women, black women, Hispanic women, any other race. As always, the young pretty white girl gets all the media attention. Sadly this poor girl is probably dead but if I was her family I would also want her case being in the media and people wanting to find her so while it’s not fair I don’t think we should dump on this poor girl.

Here is one:

An arrest has finally been made in the brutal 2012 murder of Faith Hedgepeth a Native American college coed at UNC:

I see some other threads have started that I’ve been reading. Please start a new thread rather than embedding these in this thread. Because honestly, when I’m reading this thread I’m only interested in the mystery of Gabby and Brian and I am not likely to open links to other mysteries. And then when I read the other threads, that’s when I focus on The subject that thread is focused on.

There’s really no way to state definitively from what we know. Probably starting to move into that territory but they will leverage it to get statements.

Another camper traveling through Wyoming spotted Gabby's van on August 27th. They also confirmed that she was seen alive in Idaho on the 25th or 26th.

If they traveled from Teton through Idaho to the west entrance of Yellowstone - perhaps she never made it to Yellowstone. There seem to be some sightings in Idaho after Teton. Perhaps they should look on route 20 or Mesa Falls. If they were planning to go to the west entrance of Yellowstone as suggested by the shop owner in Victor- Mesa Falls would seem to be a destination stop prior to Yellowstone and would fit in with the timing of her possibly never making it to Yellowstone. There was also a sighting at a bar in Ashton after Teton . Where would they have camped on route 20 if they got in a fight after being out at a bar? Obviously not all of these sightings have been confirmed but it may be all they have to go on right now. I hope people in the route 20/Mesa Falls area look there as well.

I’m not a camper. Is that a legal/allowed camping spot? It looks very close to the road.

No. But van life people do it to avoid lot or campground fees which is $20/night. And neither of these two had jobs.

Depends on the jurisdiction. It's legal some places, illegal and overlooked in others. It's called stealth camping--not unusual at all. There are websites dedicated to helping people find spots in various areas.

Why was Gabby afraid to drive it? That thing looks smaller than my Honda Odyssey.

Just read on the Yellowstone National Park instagram page that they've zeroed in on an area they're searching, and it will remain closed to the public until the search is complete. They're asking for people who may have seen them or their van in a dispersed camping area near Teton and Yellowstone Aug 27-30 to come forward.

Yes, that is an approved "dispersed camping" site in a National Forest. https://www.campendium.com/spread-creek-dispersed-campsites

Woman here - I hate driving. I refuse to drive anything larger than a mid-sized SUV. And I live in an area that facilitates easy Ubering or I get my SO to do it.

I don't think I'm the only one.

Anonymous wrote:It’s nearly a certainty that Brian had something to do with the murdered married couple and that was a reason she was upset. That area is insanely sparsely populated, just north of Moab is Green River, a town of less than a thousand people. Moab itself has less than six thousand. Green River is on Interstate 70, the nearest towns on Interstate 70 going west are Salina, Utah, less than 3,000 people, and Richfield, Utah, 8,000 people. It is over 100 miles from Green River to Salina. There are zero, zilch, zip services of any kind on that over 100 mile stretch from Salina to Green River on Interstate 70. It stays sparsely populated until Grand Junction, Colorado going east from Green River with only a few services along that part of the route, none from Green River until Thompson Springs, and none after that until Cisco.

The odds that these two parties did not meet, sharing the same at least partially nomadic lifestyle in such a sparsely populated area when there are timelines and photographs that do place them at the same locations at or near the same time, and that Brian Landrie isn’t the creep the couple were referring to and upset by and who murdered them, are infinitesimal.

Have you ever been there or know anything about the place other than what you read on the internet? It is actually quite touristy, that "nomadic lifestyle" is a pretty popular thing especially right now when people are isolating themselves on purpose. I, personally, know three couples and a family four that have taken similar cross country trips over the past year. One of the couples did it twice! These are not people that would normally do this sort of thing.

I traded in a mid-size SUV for my Odyssey and it wasn’t much of an adjustment. It’s really weird to me they would drive that far from home with only one driver. I’m assuming since you “hate driving” you would fly out west and not drive there. It’s just all so weird.

There are tons of young outdoorsy people in Moab. While it’s possible they intersected, they more probably did not.

I think the last Instagram post from Gabby is odd. Would she take all that trouble of making a Halloween photo shoot and post it in August? She had already posted another mural one. It seems like that would be held on to until October. I wonder if authorities can time stamp that post. The couple were spotted in Victor that day. Also she spoke to her mom on the 24th. Can the police get the location of the texts her mom received the rest of the week to see if the location matched up to where Gabby said she was? Brian was spotted alone at a bar the evening of the 26th at Bullwinkles by Yellowstone. If that last post was not from her then he could have killed her the night of the 25th in Idaho after the sighting in Victor. He could have gotten rid of her body in Idaho while traveling north on 20 on the way to Yellowstone. Then the next night he is seen at Bullwinkles. Then he travels south back through Teton where his van was seen by the couple and where they are searching now. At that point it could have only been Brian in the van on his own hiding trying to figure out what to do next.
