Because the only other possibility would have been that she had someone working with her to rob the store and Jayna recognized the person as being someone Brittany knew which would have then made it clear why they ultimately killed Jayna. So it is really the same situation but the difference is that she did it alone and the motive was MONEY! And the person that said it is ashame because she is going to walk in a few years is WRONG! She is toast! The nature of this crime and the thought that went into it on her part is going to assure that she is locked up for the rest of her life. She will NEVER get out unfortunately for her and fortunately for the rest of the world.

I disagree that she will automatically be convicted w/ a long sentence. In fact, if she has a really good lawyer she could get out of it. All the emotional outcry seen on this board will be kept out of the courtroom if she has a great lawyer. Just look at the Swann St. murders.

That was one crazy story.

I did see the website link on her fb profile
It was Nicole something, like beatch or smthg like that

Somehow I think a girl who got evicted and sued for not paying rent and who was probably stealing money from the store is not going to be able to afford a lindsay lohan lawyer to get her off.

Public defender I would assume unless she has parents that are willing to sell the farm for her! And that would be a real tragedy if they did that.

It amazes me that they transferred her rather than fire her. People CAN be fired. You do need to have a process in place that you apply the same way to anybody who needs to be let go. But dumping a problem employee on another store/division/whatever-you're told not to do that when they send you to Supervisory Training 101.

Maybe there aren't many minorities who work for the company so they wanted to keep her on? Or maybe she alleged discrimination and they thought she'd be better at the Bethesda location?

First, her parents are sweet and wonderful people and have been at her side since this started. They are not Lindsay Lohan rich at all and Brittany will most likely have a public defender. Her parents have educated all of their children and they are a very close-knit family. Please remember that Britt has parents and siblings and your comments affect them.

Imagine if this was your daughter.

I don't believe that anyone is speaking out about what is wrong with her family to have someone like Brittany in it! But I don't care where Brittany came from and or what kind of family she has.....this woman is an ANIMAL! Anyone that would not only go to the extent that she did to murder this woman and then go to the extent that she did to cover the murder up is definitely not all there. And you could come from any family be them rich or poor and have a screw loose.
I can imagine that not only her parents but her sister is not only shocked but devestated by what happened. That doesn't change the facts though! And my heart does go out to them! I just hope that they do not spend their money trying to get her off for a murder that was so bad that even the experienced police had a hard time dealing with the scene!

New poster here. I would hope that the family of the accused murderer has better things to do right now than read DCUM comments about their daughter's actions. I haven't read all the previous posts, and I would suggest that the family is not doing so either. And anyhow, really, they are going to hear a LOT about their daughter in the upcoming months and years. This is one of those bloody and notorious crimes that books and bad television movies are written about.

Yes, this crime has Anne Rule written all over it.

I'm honestly too busy imagining Jayna's parents' heartbreak. She was so cute and plucky.

I can't imagine that someone who snaps and murders another person in such a brutal way didn't give off a lot of signs beforehand.

She most definitely talked her way out of her behavior which is why she was in Bethesda and not Tysons Corner. So I would say it is safe to assume that they had anger management signs, but who in a MILLION years would think that she would BRUTALLY murder anyone! I wouldn't even think at the end of the day that she would ever lay a hand on anyone.

That's the other thing that makes this such a tragedy. Two innocent families destroyed. My heart goes out to the parents of both girls.

one of the news clips has a former soccer teammate of hers saying that she had a reputation of being a liar and thief. I bet Jayna caught her stealing and was going to turn her in...

What? Like George Huguely? Susan Smith? Scott Peterson?
