Friday's "snow?"

I think there was a reason to delay schools yesterday - and there was definitely not a reason to delay schools earlier in the week. The terrible calls are what’s troubling not the overall was it ok to drive. If they had of not delayed both days - that would be fine. If they had of delayed both days - again - fine. The flip flop + bad calls are what are concerning.

Yesterday, MCPS’s decision was based on worrying about whether they made the right call on Tuesday. I find this to be troubling rather than basing it on the present conditions.

So dramatic. Yesterday's decision was the right call. Kids got to school and there weren't any serious accidents.

With only one snow day in the calendar, we definitely need to be able to open school on days like yesterday.

One unhappy mommy does not make a Bethesda “mommy brigade.” Walking to ES with my kid yesterday, I encountered parents who said they rejoiced when they saw there was a normal day of school.

That’s great for you and your specific area with in mcps. That was not the case for many other areas within mcps. We received an email from our school’s principal after the regular start time that several buses were not able to reach students because roads had not been treated.

This is why Taylor’s email to families last night was so insulting.

Oh no! A handful of parents and kids needed to adapt! How terrible.

It wasn't insulting. You were, and are, just wrong. The conditions were fine for the vast majority of people to make it to school.

I drove my kids to school at 8. It went fine.

When we used the bus, we had days it simply would never come. Sunny, warm days. You're going to need to accept some problems when you rely on others.
