Feeing proud of my progress! How are YOU doing?

Anonymous
I’m officially down 12lb from my highest weight ever, around Christmas. But better than that, I’m getting better about my hunger cues. Yesterday, I was at the grocery store and laid eyes on this delicious looking deli sandwich. Quickly added it to my cart and decided I’d eat it in the car for lunch. But when I got to my car, I realized I really wasn’t hungry yet. I didn’t eat it for another two hours, when I really WAS hungry. It felt so good not to just eat because it looked good and was there.

Any progress you’d like to share?

Good for you! I am not proud of myself. I'll have 4 great days and then one horrible day (which leads to two more horrible days). Then, repeat. I never used to do this -- I was a steady and reliable tracker on WW but something changed in the last year.

Keep up the good work!

I started keto two weeks ago and i'm down 9lbs. I know 5lbs of it is probably water but i'll take it. This morning I hit one-derland for the first time in a year. I'm not hungry like normal and i'm finding it easier to make the right choices. My sugar cravings are gone.

Are you restricting too much on those "great days." I struggled much more with really "good" days followed by really "bad" day so much more when I going too low calorie and restricting too much

I have been slow and steady with losing since around thanksgiving. Down 15 lbs. No crazy diet, just counting calories, eating everything in moderation, running and lifting. My fat loss isn't fast but feels very sustainable and after years of struggling to lose anything I finally feel like my goal weigh is in sight and I can get there. 15 more lbs to go! best part is people have recently started to notice that I have lost weight which always feels good.

Good work OP! I am also down 12 pounds since February. I started intermittent fasting and using more weights in my workouts. I am sleeping and feel so much better. 8 more pounds to go!

Slow and steady as well. 12 lb since Jan

But more than that, as got older, been hard for me last decade, to maintain or prevent slow weight gain - even with working out a lot (running 20+ miles, spin, cross training) ,watching/recording calories, and whole healthy foods. Added Intermittment fasting (16:8 /15:9 5x a week) onto all other healthy things was doing above. Glucose levels are better.

Feels like sustainable lifestyle, which is what I really like - (second to the weight loss).

+2 to slow and steady, I started March 1. I started out wanting to lose the last 10 lbs from having kids (I've lost 6 so far) but it's become much more about adopting a healthier lifestyle. I am eating for a calorie deficit, but don't restrict any foods, I'm doing more strength training than ever in my life and have figured out how to exercise at home in a way that works for me. I hope at least some of these changes stick for the long-haul.

21lb down since January. I have about 15 more to go but I already look great and very happy with 16:8 IFs.

Also down 12lbs (since March)...I was a sugar addict. Getting rid of it was the best thing I’ve done. Now I have no cravings. Pretty miraculous. Would like to lose 10 more. And then 10 more after that. I think of weight loss in stages, it seems more achievable.

I am feeling good; I'm only 5'2 so my adjustments, though small, make a big difference. I had my annual check up and the doctor commented that my weight and BP/pulse are great for someone my age (50). I am proud that, except for pregnancies and immediate post-partum, I have remained within 4 pounds of 125 for nearly 30 years. I am fitter now than I've ever been. Thanks for the opportunity to brag a bit [blush]

I'm trying to lose the 18 lbs I gained after I hit my 40's. The most stubborn $*#@ weight gain.
Started a few weeks ago. So far down 7 lbs. Exercising a lot and feeling great.
11 lbs to go and in a good routine so I'm feeling positive.

I'm down 45+ since October so, overall, I'm feeling very pleased with my progress. On the down side, I had sort of a meh week last week where I ate pretty healthy but overate on calories a couple of days. Then this past weekend I ate more than I have been again. Monday started off o.k. but ended with me eating too many calories, yet again. So I stepped on the scale and lets just say the number didn't lie.

Today has been good and I feel back on track for weight loss again. One foot in front of the other...

I lost 20 lb on keto from the beginning of the year. I still have 7 to 8 to go, now I'm counting calories instead of keto. I needed a change and I hit platue, after changing my diet, I'm losing again. Besides I feel I need a diet that can be life style for me

Not well. I will have to take this dieting thing seriously for a long time to effect change.
