| I love game of thrones but I completely understand why somebody wouldn't watch it (in fact I think that's a very good choice) and I can imagine it's super annoying to be told you should watch it. |

| Parts are dark and violent without reason, especially season 2! But there is less and less of that as time goes on. But if you don't want to watch it I say don't. How annoying that somebody is judging your choice of entertainment like that. |

My friends convinced me to start watching and I did recently. I just finished season 1 and I love it. Can't wait to start season 2. |

I don't watch anything "dark" - but then again, I don't watch much outside the occasional movie that is usually pretty lighthearted. |

Same. Epic fantasy used to be very much my reading genre, but I don't watch anything violent and lately don't read much violence either. I mostly watch sitcoms like Brooklyn 99. I don't think I've been to an R movie in at least 5 years. |

I started watching when it first came out and got about 5 episodes in before I realized that it was way to dark for where I was in my life. I needed something lighter to watch with less insest, rape and attempted child murder.
A few years ago I tried watching again and was in a much better headspace to enjoy the it and I am now so excited for that final season! (Although part of being mentally healthy means getting a good nights sleep so I’ll be watching Monday morning.) It’s not for everyone and the hype will be over soon. |

Lol I think you should watch it
In all honesty, I tried a few times over a number of years to watch it by myself and I couldn’t get past the first five minutes of the first episode. I thought: well I’m not into this kind of thing. Anyway, the last time it was live in 2017 DH also kept hearing people say it was good, so finally we decided to watch it together and when I watched it with him I didn’t turn it off in the first five minutes. Then, by the end of the first episode I was hooked. If any parts are too violent I might close my eyes. |

| i don't - i watched part of one episode because my friend made me and it looked like a sci-fi soap opera with some cheap scenery - couldn't really understand the appeal |

Each episode costs 15 million each to make with 90 million for season 8 total. If you think the scenery or costumes are cheap, you need a new TV screen that's not as grainy. The filming locations plus cinematography is incredible. |
