| Yup! I am a little intrigued because I love Natalie Dormer from "The Tudors." |
|
I don't, but then I don't listen to contemporary music, or watch too many movies.
I like Poldark, though. |
| Me. We don't have HBO. |
I only have HBO for Veep, and when that ends its run in a few weeks, I am giving up HBO. |
| Me. Tried one time, and it was inane. |
| I came to it late (maybe in season 2?) and love it but don't get people who deride those who don't watch. Everything aint for everybody and that's OK. |
| I got into it some 3 years ago. Didn't care till then. Summer vacation and watched 4 season in two days. Got hooked. I think that is the best way for me to watch shows. DH and DD(teen) do not watch it at all. I think people who are not into historical fantasy don't really care. But, it is an awesome show. I think most pps here would be hooked if they binged watched it. That was they key for me. Episode 1 first time seemed boring and long, but once I could watch seasons at once, I liked it. I do not watch any police, csi, etc shows, ehh, people are different. |
| I read the first two books back in the late 90s and got turned off by the violence. My brother assures me the shows are fabulous but I can't believe that a movie would be better than the book. |
| I have never watched one episode or part of one. I’m highly sensitive and just assume it is way too violent for me. Don’t they kill babies and stuff? |
| We got the dvds out of dc library for 1 thru 7 season. May have to break down and pay for season 8. |
I don't have HBO, so I've only seen GoT sporadically when HBO has free trials or when I'm staying at a hotel with HBO. It's okay. I've watched Poldark, and I thought it was boring. Someone on DCUM said Poldark was like Outlander, but it really isn't. Ross Poldark isn't likeable at all. |
|
I think all the stuff about dragons and the army of the dead would make it suitable for a younger audience...but um the rest of it is absolutely inappropriate...I don't understand why they have all this magic in a completely adult political drama
|
This exactly. I loved the books. I tried to watch the show, but the on screen violence was too much for me. |
| I do but almost gave up on it during the first season. Too much gratuitous violence and sex. We get it. We don't need to see it in every other scene. Viewer's opinions must have been heard because they toned it way down during the seasons that followed. |
| We don't. Not into violence and sex on our tv. It's designed to desensitize you to the real life stuff. All done on purpose. |
