Does anyone not watch GoT?

I’ll pass.

Yeah, it’s not like there’s an epic plot or anything

I'm with pp. I think it is disturbing that a show with such graphic depictions of rape is so popular and widely accepted now. I think it says something about our culture at the moment, and it's nothing good.

I have to say, if you haven’t seen it, then you don’t know the context in which this is all playing out. It really isn’t a commentary on society today. That’s a bit dramatic.

I watched nearly all of the first two seasons and never really enjoyed it. My spouse is all like OMG, AMAZING, and I just can't get into it. I wish I could.

I've never been big into the fantasy genre though...I find it really hard to read any kind fiction.

I haven't, though the genre is really up my alley. I'm a working mom of two little kids, I have little free time and even less for watching something that is not suitable for kids (as in, can't be on in the background while my kids are playing).

I'm probably watch eventually but I'm so far behind on plot and storyline that I can't engage in the current discussions of it and so I gave up on catching up to where others are.

I don't watch it. I have never seen any of it.

A few years ago I tried watching again and was in a much better headspace to enjoy the it and I am now so excited for that final season! (Although part of being mentally healthy means getting a good nights sleep so I’ll be watching Monday morning.)

It’s not for everyone and the hype will be over soon.

Yes this is me. I watched the first season, but I had a hard time. It was way too violent and evil for me. One day I may watch the whole series, but I'm still pretty sensitive right now.

Me!

I don't watch it. I watched one episode a year or so ago and thought it was so dark (literally). I needed to squint to see what was going on. No thanks.

Sounds dark and violent without reason.

I don't, but I'm sure that's not a helpful answer.

My husband (and many friends) is addicted.

I hate the violence. The sex scenes are beyond PG. So if you have little ones around . . .

And I hate fantasy anyway.

So you can ignore me, OP. Maybe someone will convince you that it's worth your time.

I have no idea what it is about, who the main characters are, who the actors/actresses are, etc.

I could not know any less about this show than I currently do, basically!

I don't like gore and nor do I like psuedo-fantasy, generally. I have watched selected $ex scenes with Talisa and Robb Stark, because, well, Richard Madden (who is apparently now with Sam Smith's ex).

I watched first three seasons then got bored. I mean, there’s only so much of that stuff you can take without it just being repetitive.

That was hysterical.

-also have never seen one entire episode

I watch and love it but I don't begrudge anyone who doesn't. But I do find some of the replies here - "I don't have time because of my kids" - a little weird? I mean, even when you're watching it live we're talking about 1 hour per week, for a total of 8 weeks. Spread that out over the year and you have to watch, like, one hour of TV per month to stay caught up.

It's fine to say you don't watch it, but don't pretend it's because you're "too busy". That's just not true. You're choosing not to which is fine. I have a fulltime job, parttime grad program, and two young kids and I am SO excited to watch it every Sunday night for the next two months.

(the "busy" olympics are a real pet peeve of mine)

I saw the first episode and decided it wasn't for me. I'm not into the fantasy/sci fi type genres of tv/movies/books, though.

The graphic violence and sex doesn't bother me at all. Dexter was one of my favorite shows until the later seasons when it just got dumb and I love Harlots.
