I drive slower when you beep your horn.

Yes. I slow you down on purpose.

I drive slower after you arrogantly and obnoxiously beep your horn at me.

I drive the speed limit and come to a full stop at stop signs.

I do not care that you are in a rush and riding my tail.

I do let others walk completely across the street before I enter the crosswalk.

When you lean on your horn, I drive EVEN SLOWER.

Rant over.

You’re a dick.

Nope. Not a dick. Just smart and safe.

Not worth risking an accident for the road ragers.

I don’t do that.

I just hate sanctimommies like OP on general principle.

Thank you for stopping at the crosswalk and waiting before entering the crossing!

OP Here, newsflash, 90 % of the time, when a beepaholic rushes past me after yelling, beeping, swerving to speed to the next stop sign or light.... my car catches up to them.. all while driving the speed limit and safely.

For all that yelling and beeping and stressing, the beepaholics usually don't get very far ahead.

OP here, you're welcome. Your life is more important than arriving at my destination 15 seconds earlier.
Anonymous
Op, you and the crazy are both crazy and you find each other every time. You both do you.
Anonymous
OP, you're more focused on being a rule follower, than actual, viable safety. That's not a good thing.

Driving slow doesn't make you a better, safer driver. Neither does driving faster necessarily, but you're just intent on the rules and numbers, not road flow.

I broke up with a guy over this once. We were on a scenic road that was also the main thoroughfare of the island, and it was just a 2 lane highway. He drove about 35 miles per hour in a 55 and cars were piling up behind us. I suggested he pull over so people could pass, and he said, no, they need to slow down. I attempted to reason with him that they may have kids to pick up or something not going right that day, and he said that's their problem. I knew i couldn't spend my life with someone that couldn't empathize with other people. OP, you don't know why they are trying to go fast. You could at least pull over and let them by; it costs you nothing.

OP didn’t say she was going 20 mph below the limit.

OP here.

Not pulling over for beepaholics.
Not puling over at a stop sign.
Not driving 35 in a 55.
Not caring about yelling, screaming, speed addicts.

Think Blagden Ave NW ( where there are speed and stop sign cameras btw). I will continue to drive the posted 25 mph and I will continue come to a complete stop at each stop sign.

This is he only thing the OP got right. Other than this she comes off as a smug imbecile.

OP again.

BTW, in order to avoid stop sign camera fines in DC, one should spell the word S.T.O.P in their heads before proceeding through the crosswalk. This gives the full 6-10 second stop that will avoid a rolling stop camera fine.

You're welcome. Slow down.
