I drive slower when you beep your horn.

You will be beeping and I will continue to drive safely and slowly on purpose. Never been shot in 20 years for it and sorry, not buying that narrative.

You said “Yes. I slow you down on purpose.“

So if you were driving the speed limit and you slow down, then you are driving below the speed limit.

I drive safely, stop at crosswalks and stop signs and drive the speed limit and I don't have people beeping at me left and right. Maybe you aren't the wonderful driver you think you are.

You're saying you deliberately drive dangerously when someone else expresses anger with your driving by driving dangerously. That makes two drivers who are aggressively reacting to each other by driving driving dangerously. It's bad enough that you and the other driver are endangering yourselves, but you're also risking the safety and lives of anyone in the area.

Please stop what you're doing before you end up hurting someone.

OP sounds like she is “raging” herself.

Only a Maryland driver would consider driving the speed limit an aggressive act on the road.

Intentionally driving below the speed limit (by repeatedly slowing down as OP states she does) to intentionally piss off other drivers is aggressive. And a dick move. And then posting on DCUM about her hate driving is more of a dick move.

Op you have a weird power complex.

Why is everyone assuming OP is a woman? I’m betting man.

Maybe she’s doing that. But I moved out of the DC area and it’s really given me a better perspective about driving. If op is going the speed limit in the left lane, that’s a problem. I suspect that isn’t what op is doing. People lay on their horns so frequently in the DMV I don’t think you guys even notice anymore. If the light turns green, I’m accelerating and you STILL HONK? F you. I’ll take my time too.

Driving below the speed limit is not illegal. Driving significantly below the speed limit is not safe and could be called aggressive. Driving over the speed limit is illegal and un safe and very often aggressive. Try driving the limit and see how many people end up on your bumper. Drivers around here drive too fast and too aggressively and think it is ok.

It's got to be a man. Women don't wake up to post at 6am, looking to fight random people on the internet about fighting with other drivers.

When was the last time a woman called you "young Jedi"?

OP, are you a man? I mean anatomically, not morally.

He drove about 35 miles per hour in a 55 and cars were piling up behind us. I suggested he pull over so people could pass, and he said, no, they need to slow down. I attempted to reason with him that they may have kids to pick up or something not going right that day, and he said that's their problem. I knew i couldn't spend my life with someone that couldn't empathize with other people. OP, you don't know why they are trying to go fast. You could at least pull over and let them by; it costs you nothing.

The speed limits are what they are for a REASON. A speed limit of 35 usually means a residential area or a school crossing or a school bus route. There is no reason that is "worthy" of putting others in danger. Someone trying to go much faster than the speed limit does not have the right of way because "they might be picking up their kids." How about we keep the kids of that residential or school area safe, huh?

Idiotic attempt at logic. Your then-boyfriend dodged a bullet with you.

Shrug. I’m a woman and I call people “grasshopper”.

You think a man would say “beepaholic”?

The boyfriend was going 20mph BELOW the speed limit.

Idiotic attempt at reading.
