Now that there is more credible information that the plane went up to 45,000 feet, then sharply downward, the decompression theory makes more sense. Click the Helios flight which shows that the passengers were unconscious, including the pilot, while the plane continued to fly on auto pilot.

Did someone with a health issue board the plane with medical oxygen tanks? |
Why is the erratic flying leading to the conclusion that the plane crashed into the sea? Here is a link (sorry long) that explains the term coffin corner, which means that the minimum and maximum speed are the same and the plane drops down sharply, due to physics of flying. Sometimes that can be halted, sometimes not. In any case, that fly up, plunge down is pretty hard on the breathing of people. RIP the folks on Flight 340.

Wow. Look at this Wall St. Journal Article, front page. There is a map. Go look at that map. That plane may have actually landed. I really doubt that the passengers would still be alive at this point--especially since they took the plane up to heights that would have killed folks without oxygen masks--clever. And I'm sure they don't want to be bothered to have to feed them all, and also they probably want them dead and out of the way anyways, but wouldn't it be wonderful if they were? Maybe they saved some to be hostages? I know they don't care about life at all and don't make a distinction between combatants and innocents, so it's a slim hope, but it would be nice if they saved the children.

A guy on reddit has an interesting theory - that the plane closely followed a Singapore Airlines plane across India (hiding in its radar "shadow") to Pakistan. |
Wow interesting! Love Reddit. |
Did anyone else notice that flight 370 took off on march 7th or 3/7? |
I think they went up high enough to suffocate all passengers. They smuggled on or tapped onto the emergency oxygen system. Took the plane, dumped the bodies. |
Interesting. But wouldn't the Singapore Airlines flight be able to see the Malaysia plane behind it? And if they saw it, wouldn't they tell someone about it? They must have some sort of radar that sees what's all around the plane, no? |
They don't care about human life, in this case, Chinese life, mostly. That is if the terrorist theory is correct. Somehow, I don't think so. Malfunctions by their very nature are unpredictable. An explosion of the batteries on the plane could have caused all sorts of malfunctions. Without the plane or the black box, we just don't know. It could be on land somewhere, maybe, but I don't see how it could pass undetected over India and Pakistan. Just so implausible. The other possibility, that it went South and plunged into the Indian Ocean is much more likely. |
"took the plane"? Where? They'd have to land it somewhere. And it would take a lot of manpower to "dump" more than 200 human bodies. They can't just tip the plane in midair and they all slide out! They are resting on the bottom of the ocean, including whomever turned off the transponder. Not on land. Not possible. |
I think a terrorist group just got themselves a new plane. |
The hostages are far more valuable than the plane. C'mon, they could build a plane. Think, people! |
What about the lithium batteries? Can they be put to a nefarious use? |
