She had a proper meltdown with screaming and crying. She was saying (in random order) - I hate this, I hate this sport, I'm not ever skating again, I hate it, I'm not doing it. Everyone has a gold medal except me! You knew it all! I hate this. But she got over it before the press conference, it looks like it. |

I recorded the whole competition from usa this morning. I saw the beginning of the craziness, but had to get my kid out the door to school. I plan to go back and watch it.
I discovered on sling (which is where I get my cable channels), there is a place where they have replays of the skating competitions. It's basically on demand. Not sure how quickly they get it posted, though. |

the systemic sexual abuse of gymnasts is not something that can ever be made to look less horrible, no matter what is found here. They are likely both horrific in their own way. |

Search “Trusova outburst “ on YouTube. It’s only 20 second short clip but you can hear Trusova yelling and crying and someone giving a hug to Kamila. All comments are in Russian. Curious what peoples are commenting about the situation. I wish I could read Russian. |

I will say that this year's finals are positively Shakespearian. Twisted plot, high passions, tears and tragedy. A favored golden child is thrown down into the mud and broken while the cameras click away. A teammate delivers a stoic perfect skate and gets a gold medal but no happiness. A rival does all she can and writes history but gold remains out of reach. An evil puppet master watches from afar. You can write novels out of this. Christine Brennan probably would. I hate this woman with a passion. |

Well said. But seriously this is not written in a novel unfortunately… it’s their real life. I hope those Russian girls get therapy and somehow get over this. |
