I’ve been hitting the gym and sticking with a healthy eating plan for a month now. I’ve lost 10lb but I have 30lb left to lose. I realize that the first 10lb were probably mostly water weight and bloat from overeating during the holiday, and probably not typical for a month. Or is this weight loss sustainable?
Other than lots of water, healthy eating in a deficit, and moving moving moving, including using weights, how can I lose these 30lb by June 1st? |

Yes it's possible depending on how much you have to lose, and you have to be very disciplined. I've been working hard at it since Sept 15. My weight loss slowed a bit during the holidays, (which also included 3 birthdays and anniversary) when I was less disciplined, but still eating healthy. I still want to lose 17 more, but will be in a normal BMI weight after 5 more.
Sept-Oct: 10lbs Oct-Nov: 10lbs Nov-Dec: 5lbs Dec-Jan: 5lbs Jan-Feb partial month: 3lbs |
| I did. Jenny Craig. |
| Yes it is possible. Ted Bundy lost 25 pounds in a week! |
| Why do you suddenly have such a short timeline for your weight loss? I get that we all want to lose the weight quickly, but I have found that the faster you lose the weight the faster it come back on. Maybe not for everyone, I know someone on here will say I lost 30 lbs in 2 months and kept it off, but that is not typical. Quick weight loss typically comes from extreme measures that are not sustainable long term. If the things do do to lose the weight are not things you can see yourself doing for the rest of your life, then your weight loss will be short lived. |
| I lost 7lb in 3 weeks. More pounds are getting harder to lose. |
| I did the fast metabolism diet and even cheated some days and lost 10 pounds without too much trouble. I couldn’t believe it. I was 130 and went down to 120. |
| Yes. Eat 1000 calories a day and work out hard five days a week. There ya go. |

I started with very low calorie and IF and lost 10 pounds in one month.
After that, keto+IF, reasonable calorie deficit, rarely cheat. Weightloss is slow but I finally reached normal BMI and move toward the lower end of healthy BMI for me. I have heard that rapid weightloss may lead to stretch marks and loose skin. So maybe don't lose that fat too fast. |
| 2-4 lbs a month is a healthier rate of loss |
| It's doable to lose 2lbs in a week. If you are already doing caloric deficit and exercise, then it's possible for you to continue losing 10lb a month. I did, same method my exercises were not extreme, but I keep making it harder whenver I feel like the routine is becoming easy. Also, incorporate HIIT in your exercise. |

I lost 30 lbs in 3 months doing a low carb diet and cardio 3-4x and week and strength training 1-2x week.
I also used the Performix SST fat burner pills from GNC. I think that helped speed up the weight loss. |
| Depends on your starting weight of course and your BMI. If you're a female and 300+ pounds, yes probably. If you're a female and 150 pounds, much harder. |
wow what did you do? |
1-2 pounds per week is the norm, so 4-8 pounds per month If you have a lot to lose 10 pounds per month at the start is not difficult. |
