Is it possible to lose 10lb a month?

I realize that the first 10lb were probably mostly water weight and bloat from overeating during the holiday, and probably not typical for a month. Or is this weight loss sustainable?

Other than lots of water, healthy eating in a deficit, and moving moving moving, including using weights, how can I lose these 30lb by June 1st?

Congratulations! I would keep the gym and mix up your diet. Start a plant based diet this week and keep it for a month. You will feel great - and continue to see the pounds drop.

1-2 pounds per week is the norm, so 4-8 pounds per month
If you have a lot to lose 10 pounds per month at the start is not difficult.

I definitely wouldn't say 1-2 pounds is the norm, especially if you're losing a smaller amount of weight. I average 0.5-1lb/week, and that's following Weight Watchers quite closely.

Skip the “white” carbs and you will lose weight.

To lose 2 lbs a week of real weight, you need a daily calorie deficit of over a 1000 calories. That is so unsustainable but iit s the mindset that leaves some people on this board to believe that if they eat more than a thousand calories a day they will never lose weight.

but they really mean is that they feel they are not losing it quickly enough.

Weight that comes off as yours does pp is the weight that tends to stay off

Actually, research shows that weight loss doesn't have to be slow to be healthy and sustainable. I am living proof - I used to lose all motivation if weightloss was slow.

The important part is to realize that it is just the beginning, and you will have to change your eating habits for good.

It's possible but if you are not well trained or not that healthy it's gonna be tough
