Sounds like we have a little butt hurt BRYC parent/BOD member who is till mad about Larry leaving the club for Spirit and is afraid of either a merger or losing kids to Spirit because of Larry. The only people who would be legitimately pumping up their investment in ECNL are clubs new to ECNL. McLean parents and coaches aren't here defending their clubs likely choice. VDA made their choice and were in DA. The only new kids to the game are just all excited to be sitting at the cool table and need to pump it up. I guess when your clubs leader leaves you start to worry about your choice and how your club will fare going forward. Based on the younger age groups and the interest in BRYC, ECNL being a clear cut winner is the only real hope of drawing in talent to the club. Getting booted form CCL makes the club far less desirable as a youth developmental destination and with that in mind if any club will need to rely on recruiting it will be BRYC going forward. |
I dont think any team should need to heavily recruit out of either of those teams. VDA is eating their lunch and flicking boogers at them. |
Any idea when BRYC will announce the coaches for the upcoming season? Wondering if BN is planning to coach 8 teams again for the younger ages |
Wasting time with that poster. They have a pattern of causing problems on DA threads but have no interest in the above. Internet tough guy syndrome. As someone alluded to in another post, seems they were triggered by a slow DD comment and have made this their lifelong anti-DA crusade. |
You're in ECNL, nothing else really matters now. DA is DOOOMED and you're on the winning side. PDA, some California Teams are in ECNL now so who your kids coach is irrelevant because your team appears on a list just next to the list that PDA is on. Just sit back and soak it all in. Your work here is done. |
Ask the guy who knows all about what DA is doing with Spirit, he is on the BRYC BOD afterall. Funny he knows so much about a club and league he is not affiliated with other than some back and forth texts with his still buddy Larry. Do you think Larry knows you are leaking all this info behind his back on a forum like this? |
You really need to get over it! |
I didn't create a thread dedicated to it. |
Does Larry know you're posting info behind his back? |
I was trolling the other guy, not you! DOOMED!!! Hahahaha what a piece of work. |
| no seriously - any idea of when BRYC will announce coaches for next year? Have a U10 DD and they are convenient. Not sure why my question resulted in a discussion on an ECNL team in California? |
|
WS VA is not picking up top talent from McLean, Loudoun, or BRYC.
Your work here is done. |
No such claim was made my friend. |
Loudoun does not have a winning team beyond their 07's. Exactly what top talent do they even have? There was a thread earlier that pretty much called out Loudoun for having only 4-5 winning teams on all of the the girls side. Pathetic for such a big club. |
That's some selective editing of that interview. Prior to those quotes, he said that Real Colorado told ECNL they'd be "all in" and move back to ECNL, but only if both their teams could be in the same conference. He said ECNL was discussing this and would get back to them. If ECNL would not allow this, he was asked what they would do, which is the part you quoted above. ECNL allowed PDA and FC Stars to have two teams in the same conference. It's hard to imagine them not giving the same deal to Real CO. If so, then that'd be yet another big DA club switching back to ECNL. It'd have no immediate impact on the ECNL or DA teams in the area, other than increasing the likelihood that other top DA teams eventually switch back to ECNL as DA continues its downward spiral. Cough, cough, FCV, cough, cough. |
