More defections from DA to ECNL

The bar has really been reset when “boosting” is considered to be dispelling a false rumor. Again, why are you insisting that WS is out of DA when that’s not true.

It is for Maryland/Baltimore

What do you personally gain from undermining the DA and WS? You seem very heavily invested in both.
A few seem to think that anyone that is posting anything about Spirit is undermining DA- but how is that undermining the DA? Wouldnt that point to them not liking Spirit and the way they run things?

SA: And if it comes down to making a choice between the two?
LORNE DONALDSON: Then most likely we would stay in the DA. We will lose our ECNL group.
SA: As it is now, for the last two seasons, how is it decided which Real Colorado girls play in the DA and which play in the ECNL?
LORNE DONALDSON: I’m not going to try to sugarcoat. Most of the better players wanted to play in the DA.

That's some selective editing of that interview. Prior to those quotes, he said that Real Colorado told ECNL they'd be "all in" and move back to ECNL, but only if both their teams could be in the same conference. He said ECNL was discussing this and would get back to them. If ECNL would not allow this, he was asked what they would do, which is the part you quoted above.

ECNL allowed PDA and FC Stars to have two teams in the same conference. It's hard to imagine them not giving the same deal to Real CO. If so, then that'd be yet another big DA club switching back to ECNL.

It'd have no immediate impact on the ECNL or DA teams in the area, other than increasing the likelihood that other top DA teams eventually switch back to ECNL as DA continues its downward spiral. Cough, cough, FCV, cough, cough.

Exactly, it is about the money not what they believe to be the better platform for the players but what is the better platform for the clubs.

It is awesome that in every division in ECNL you get to play either a clubs B team or some blended hybrid. I thought Elite meant Elite, not Elite and the next 20 the club has.

I know you’ll never believe this but the “bogus rumors” were not originated from other forums. They come from the coaches and BOD members that work at both the two aforementioned local clubs. Also, I am not the prior poster so I am not the only one conveying these so called “bogus rumors”. The value is to further explain why there may be more DA to ECNL defections in the future, which IS the topic of this thread. As the other poster said, let’s just wait and see what happens. Let’s check back on this sub topic in a year.

So now it is a year away. Nice moving the goal posts. Just go away.

Yes - it is a year away. That's what I originally posted and have not changed that tune. Others posters have stated other timelines. Again - also not trying to undermine anything. Providing information that I have heard from inside sources is not undermining, even if you don't like the information. Will it come to fruition, we shall see. That is my point. Just be aware that there are efforts to make it come to fruition. Maybe those efforts will fail. Again - I am not predicting, I am providing information.

Any idea when BRYC will announce the coaches for the upcoming season? Wondering if BN is planning to coach 8 teams again for the younger ages

No seriously - any idea of when BRYC will announce coaches for next year? Have a U10 DD and they are convenient. Not sure why my question resulted in a discussion on an ECNL team in California?

Is that what BRYC is selling to the younger ages? ECNL or preECNL naming conventions? 1 coach with 8 teams? Did BN coach/train the u13 and u14s? Or did they recruit that bunch of players?

Why could you possibly be asking this on an ECNL/DA thread. Just call BRYC and find out.

So you're on the BRYC BOD then. Because I'm pretty sure if your helping info got back to Larry and Co. you'd be in some trouble if you were connected to Spirit. I'm also pretty sure that what ever you were told was likely done in confidence, so we already know the kind of person that you are.

1. You can't keep things to yourself
2. You are affiliated with BRYC and have everything to gain by offering such "help".

Does this question not bring Glory to ECNL?

Considering that you are here and on the BRYC BOD I think you are qualified to answer the question.

Was I just elected into the BRYC BOD here? because I havent gotten my welcome letter yet, I look forward to the jacket and stipend though.

I’m just PP asking about the u13 and u14 because those age groups have a lot of explaining to do. I’d like to know how they are related to the coach asked about above in terms of training and development.

Spirit and BRYC parents please stop posting on this thread.

Well BRYC coaches are all over this thread so you should get your answer soon.

Yes, we should spend more time posting about how bad a overall club record Loudoun has instead.

Nope. Wrong on all fronts. Not connected to Spirit VA or BRYC and don't know Larry Best. Also - no one told me to keep anything in confidence and nothing to gain or lose. I am considering either DA or ECNL for my kid and want to triangulate information independent of what coaches and clubs might say. They've been known to BS people, if you haven't noticed. In fact, in my experience I am not sure that there is more BS on this forum or from coach's and club's mouths, but when I hear two or more independent sources that don't know each other give me the same info, I start to raise its credibility. But, to your point, I am not 100% certain on any of this and what the outcome will be. I am just identifying probable risk. I think I'll not post on this subject for a while as the topic is well done at this point. We've all had our say and there is no more point in arguing. I hope it all works out for you, I really do.

You clearly have more information than we do so what do you need to "triangulate"?

Let me help you out. Please, go to ECNL.
