Then why did he pay her off? An NDA? Who does that? |
High profile people. It’s obv embarrassing to have this happen, even if you’re found to have done nothing wrong and aren’t charged. She probably figured she get some money out of him from the accusation alone |
I don't think so. And it doesn't matter how high profile you are - and Pete Hedgseth was not very high profile at the time. No man is doing payouts and NDAs when they have nothing to be ashamed of. Every man would fight that. No man wants payouts and NDAs on their record. In normal times, rape charges and payouts would kill a public career. His excuse was that he was black out drunk. And so he wrote a check. Meanwhile, he was married and busy impregnating his Fox producer around the same time. This man is a walking security risk. No morals. Terrible judgement. Bad drinker. Harasses women. Easily blackmailed. A garbage pick. |
He's a rich guy with high powered attorneys - but he lost and had to pay out. |
“Lost”? It was a settlement with an NDA. He’s a high-profile sleazebag serial cheating on his wives while pretending to be Conservative on TV, of course he paid. But interesting how this settlement is proof he’s a demon, while all of first husband Doug’s settlements and NDAs were hand waved away by you same partisan dweebs. |
I agree but to be fair, the “first husband” isn’t much of a job or a responsibility. Melanie posed nude and doesn’t even want to live at the White House. The only reason anyone criticizes that is because they’re supposedly “conservative” and neither of those things aligns with conservative values. She would be shunned in conservative social circles for this but tax breaks makes that ok, I guess. Maybe the Doug stories would have cost her a primary. Or maybe the Doug stories didn’t have police reports? In any case, raise the bar, America. |
|
This may have t asked but if the sex was consensual why did he settle with her to keep from going to trial. Me thinks he is lying. |
Men settle because they don’t want other cases to come to light. I guarantee there are other victims. He has an MO. |
He tried to get multiple women up to his room. And it appears he brought some kind of date rape drug with him to the conference. He's done this before. |
+1. The best people. /s |
How was he high profile? I had never heard of him until Trump nominated him. Of course. I never watch Fox |
He had a TV show on a major cable news channel. I’d consider that high profile enough to not want to be gossiped about. The NDA isn’t admitting guilt. He was already found to have done nothing wrong by the prosecutor of that district, the detectives, and the police. Anyone can accuse anyone of anything. It’s especially easy for a women to claim consensual sex was non consensual afterward. But you have to have evidence to back that up and it just wasn’t there |
He was a Fox rising star destined for a prime time chair which pays $5M-30M a year. |
Lordy this guy is a Grade A asshat:
