Doubling-down on dumb-ass analogies isn’t fixing the problem, either. When the Democrats refuse to admit that they too have been fatally flawed, they’re obviously ridiculous as antidote to others’ flaws. And being an obstinate idiot about this is as painfully DCUM as it gets. |

Wow. Who knew Kamala kept company with utter racists? Cora Masters Barry is disgusting. Glad her ugly words have been exposed. "F--- White women," Barry began to say in a November 2020 Zoom call video with Campbell, before correcting herself. "Excuse me — forget the White women. They’re going to do what the White men tell them to do." "They be smiling in their faces, they want to stay in charge," Barry continued with Campbell reacting affirmatively in the background. "I don't care nothing about them, we gotta do what we gotta do." She also attacked supporters of then-President Trump, comparing them to the Ku Klux Klan by saying, "I’m not saying everyone who voted for Trump is wearing a white sheet, but they got one in their closet and it comes out when we start messing with the economic value or the balance of power." Barry also said at the time that, should Biden win the 2020 election, her group has "got to start organizing to make sure that the next President of the United States is a Black woman." |

I knew Symone was trouble from the start. If Biden wanted to 'reward' her for a job so bad - he should have taken her or sent her off as an Ambassador to some no-name country where she'd been out of the way. Excellent piece by Peggy Noonan re: Kamala needing to straighten up, get serious, and do her job.
*** Her real problems look more like this: She loves the politics of politics too much, and not the meaning. When people meet with her they come away saying that what she cares about is the politics of the issue, not the issue itself. But even as she’s obsessed with the game of national politics she’s not so far particularly good at it. When she sought the Democratic presidential nomination in 2020, she spectacularly flamed out. Ms. Harris has never seemed especially earnest. This would be a good time for earnestness. Would a new and serious Kamala Harris be spoofed? Yes, but it would be a better kind of spoofing. Let them say you look chastened: People would be relieved to see you look chastened. Let them snidely suggest you had previously hidden your serious side. You did. Let them say you’ve been humbled. So a seditious attack on the Capitol to steal away our republic is tired garbage? See, this is the problem. Is Kamala perfect? No. Is there a little post-COVID inflation? Yes. Are these important stories? Sure in a vacuum. However, we are on a perilous ledge towards an authoritarian state. I would think that would be of more importance than the two above items. How and why the GOP has fallen off a cliff for Russian Psyops that we have gone from "the evil empire" to "oh, Putin is just protecting his borders" is beyond my realm of comprehension, but it is tied together. The GOP has fallen to be the party of traitors and gaslighters. If you don't want to govern and don't want to represent the American people in Washington and in front of the World, then get out of the way and let traditional, real conservatives back in. But this thread and others like it that pick around the edges are just getting old. Nothing is perfect, but our republic is more perfect than any other option. |
