I hope that this family used the legal process, that they signed paperwork to terminate their rights, and that Huxley is now in the custody of a family with a complete homestudy and social worker supervision. If that's true, and their mistake was using the wrong word, that's find. But "rehoming" is generally not used for that legal process.

As an adopted child, I can never claim that I was rehomed as a baby.

It absolutely is a term in the adoption community. A child who has been adopted and is placed for adoption by the adoptive parents is called rehoming. If your parents adopted you, it is not rehoming. Its when a second or even third adoption of the same child.

Yes, it can be. Sometimes kids are just placed with a POA and sometimes those new families adopt. It is when there is a second adoption involved.

Because it's a form of human trafficking done under the radar. She did not go through proper authorities. He is a young child. He has limited communication through sign language.

Shame on you for not caring about the welfare of a brown child with special needs who's whereabouts are unknown. There is no proof he is alive. Not familiar with Myka but watched a few minutes of a few videos including the rehoming one. Didn't really need to as anyone who would rehome their child for disabilities that can be cared for in the home is at the very least someone i would never want to follow, friend or be. This is from a parent of a profoundly disabled child who doesn't have youtube looks/lifestyle/following/career so maybe i just don't get it.
