Who did you think killed JonBenet?

There is no way in h*ll that a 60 pound 9 year old boy committed this murder.

I think that Burke and Santa can both be ruled out.

Santa went to Portugal and Spain right after the murder. Then he went to New York to be on a bunch of tv shows and was walking around NY and showed up outside the Today show trying to get the cameras to pay attention to him. He was not at home lying in bed. He was doing just fine.

What ever happened to the mysterious Santa Bear that was found in JB's room? In the crime scene photos there was a white Santa bear dressed in a red suit that was placed on the second bed in JB's room. When the police asked the Ramseys about it they said they had never seen it. Then the bear seemed to vanish. People thought it was strange that a piece of evidence that pointed to an intruder vanished. I wonder what happened to it.

Flying in a plane and walking around are different than the strength needed to commit this crime. I don't know how old Santa was at the time or how long post op he was but you are still talking about a cardiac patient who had recently had open heart surgery. The police ruled him out for a reason.

Someone explain why the police thought the injury occurred in the parents room? This is referenced on the A & E documentary. What was in that room to cause such an injury? And what evidence pointed towards the parents bedroom? Has that ever been mentioned?

I have not seen the ID special but their is one on CBS Sunday, a three part series.

I'm thinking it might have been this Hellgoth guy along with an accomplice. It makes sense there could be 2 people. That Hi-Tech boot print they found next to JB's body were shoes he had. Plus a number of other suspicious things-

He assaulted her and used the paintbrush. He couldn't do the act himself (old man, recent surgery, this was pre-viagra) but he wanted to penetrate her. (yuck). She still had a pulse so he finished her off with the garrotte.

And spent hours in an unfamiliar house with the family sleeping upstairs, including washing and re-dressing the child's body?

I had understood that he had been in the home before. I heard somewhere that JB had taken him on a tour of he house.

One of the videos made by the expert murder investigator pointed out that there was a strange rope found in the bathroom of JB's bedroom. No one could explain where it came from. Doesn't that seem like something an intruder might have with him?

also there was a picture of a bed with a dust ruffle all tucked in - except for one spot, where the dust ruffle was puffed outwards. The investigator stated it could have been from someone who hid under the bed, getting out.

I remember when this first happened. I was very interested, like everyone else. I believed the media -- the mom and dad did it! because they let their daughter do a pageant! Now that I am a parent myself, I am appalled at how callously the Ramseys were treated and how terrible they must have felt for their failure to lock the house up. To go to a party on Christmas Day and perhaps have a bit too much to drink. The way the press blames a 9 years old boy. The way the press was so involved. The way the Boulder police did NOTHING in the way of real forensics, including completely misreading the autopsy report. The way they placed blame on an old man who was recovering from heart surgery. Everything about screams "witch hunt" to me today. Poor Patsy, she died never knowing that she had been totally cleared of this crime. The thing I particularly find appalling is that they thought because JonBenet wet the bed, that Patsy (a rich woman who probably never changed the sheets anyway) "snapped" and garroted her child to death and then put someone else's DNA on her. The whole thing is an appalling tragedy.

They never found the duct tape or the other half of the pain brush.

I'm embarrassed that I know this, but there is a whole theory on the rope -- that it came from JonBenet's American Girl doll (as did the duct tape). There is a similar rope used to secure the AG doll head on, and there's extra rope, and the manufacturer suggests that it be secured onto the doll (and many people used duct tape). The day after the body was discovered, Ramsey family friends came to their home and removed the doll in question. Also there was a replacement doll ordered to John Ramsey's work and delivered after the murder (some question about whether or not it was ordered before Christmas or after, however). The thinking being that if the Ramseys were asked to produce that doll, they could have a replacement doll at the ready.

The media and police crucified the Ramseys. The only thing that made them even possible suspects was that JB was found in their house. But that in itself also points to an intruder. Reasons the police gave were:
They were rich and hired an attorney. They did this because they realized within a few days that the cops were incompetent.
The police said they could tell by looking at them. It was not just the female detective that did this. The male cop said when they were in the house on 12/26 and Patsy was sitting down at one point she had her hands over her face and then she looked at the cops through her "splayed fingers". Patsy was in shock and because she looked at the cops while having her hands over her face made them think she was guilty. Crazy.
The sweater being worn twice. (normal behavior). Bed wetting (normal). The pageants (not common in Boulder but very common in the South and what Patsy grew up with) Also the press made it seem that JB's life was nothing but pageants. Not true. She did a few a year. The rest of the time she did all normal kid activities.
The ransom note. They insisted Patsy could not be ruled out. Well the truth is most people on the planet could not be truly ruled out if you went by handwriting alone. So a crazy person breaks into your house and decides to write a ransom note. Obviously they will try to disguise their writing. Now the cops want to match hand writing samples to disguised writing. Ridiculous and impossible. I could sit down with a pen and paper and write that note in twenty different ways.
They ruled out all other people on their list by hair, blood, and handwriting samples. And lame alibis. Well if the killer did not bleed then he would not leave blood. If he wore gloves and a ski mask he would not leave fingerprints or hair. If he did not spit, sneeze, cough, or ejaculate, he would not leave dna. They really had no evidence that was not botched. They also said that the ransom note was written by Patsy to cover up her crazy assault on her daughter. They couldy not belive an intruder would break in and start with a ransom note and then turn the crime into a murder and sexual assault.
Look at other crimes. How about the family in Connecticut that was killed in their home. Two men saw what they though was a rich woman and followed her home. They came back to the house later that night and broke in. They held the two daughters and dad hostage while they took the mom to the bank. Then they decided money was not enough so they sexually assaulted them and murdered them and tried to burn the house down. Was the motive money, sexual perversion, or just being a crazy person.
The Ramseys were normal people. But they were not normal to local cops. The press just ran with the Ramseys did it theory and ruined their lives. The Ramseys faced hardships that most people have never encountered. One daughter died in a car accident. Patsy battled ovarian cancer for a year with horrible chemo. Their young daughter is murdered and assaulted in their home on Christmas Day. They are hounded forever by the police and press. Patsy battles cancer again and dies. That family deserves for someone to find the truth for all the pain and suffering they went through.

^Is it normal to wake up in the morning, put on a full face of makeup (without showering first) and then put on clothes from the night before?

Who does that?

Me, when I have an early flight to catch.

You can wash your face without taking a shower.

Also, if Santa guy snuck into their house to "visit" JonBenet, woke her up quietly and got her to eat a snack of pineapple...you think that he would be wearing a ski mask? Wouldn't a strange person in a ski mask freak a little kid out?

Bottom line is - the Ramseys said that JonBenet fell asleep in the car and that Patsy her to bed.

We know from the pineapple that JonBenet was awake at some point AFTER arriving home. This idea that a sex predator would set up a little tea party with a snack of pineapple for JonBenet is ridiculous.

Yes. For someone who doesn't like to leave the house without makeup. They cut corners in other ways to save time.
