New polls push Trump's net job approval rating to a new low of -6.0, perilously close to his rating at this point in 2017 (-8) which was back then the worst-ever rating for a president at this point in their term

Thank you Trump for making election victories easy for Dems over the next few years just like you did during your first term. Your consistent awfulness is very helpful to the opposition party.

Real Clear poll aggregators has him at a healthy 46.9 including polls like cbs (47 percent approval).

Our country knew he was corrupt and incompetent and re-elected him.

Define "healthy." A little research shows that other US presidents had much higher approval ratings at this point in their term:

John F. Kennedy: 72%
Dwight Eisenhower: 68%
Barack Obama: 68%
Jimmy Carter: 66%
Joe Biden: 57%

In contrast, President Trump's initial approval ratings have been lower:
First Term (2017): 45%
Second Term (2025): 47%

These figures indicate that President Trump is the only elected president since 1953 to begin both terms with sub-50% approval ratings.

and it certainly won't go up at all as the economy deteriorates

Two months in, and less than 50% is healthy?

In this bizarre Trump/Biden POTUS world we've been in since January 2017, 47% is amazing! Trump's average approval rating will be in the 35% to 40% range if it isn't already. We've been here and done this already. It's just that way too many people are too stupid to recall the 2017-2020 time frame. Wash, Rinse, repeat.

All of this, plus RCP leans right and weighs RWNJ polls similarly to normal polls which skews its average.

Yep, and just like Carter, Biden, and Trump 1st term, Trump's average approval rating will continue to plummet like a hot-air balloon with no hot air as he becomes less and less popular with the American people.

His numbers are really going to crash once people realize that Hermes is raising the prices of its purses in response to Trump's tariffs.

The $50,000 handbags will become $55,000.

who knew snatching latino's off the street and placing them in gulags would be unpopular!

LOL at all those Hispanic voters who thought they would somehow be special.

The Cubans in South Florida are 100% behind Trump. Remember these are the same people who supported Batista. So abducting people off the street and making them disappear is something they are very familiar with.

Just wait til the brownshirts can't tell the difference between "cubans" and other people who may "look like cubans" and they get shipped off as well.

Most Florida Cubans are white.

They aren't 100% behind Trump. Florida is a red state. When the majority of people in your local network are Republicans, you are 10 times more likely to be a Republican. If you live in California, you are very likely to be a Dem. When 99% of of what you hear and see are talking points of one of our two major political parties, it's difficult not to buy into what you are hearing. Cubans in Florida don't support Trump because of any specific Trump action; the primary reason they support him is because they live in Florida and know no better.

The population of Florida is like 55:45 Red:Blue.

But due to our "winner takes all" political system, this means the GOP dominates Florida politics.
