How is someone who has actually served in public office in multiple roles not more qualified for office than someone who never has?

Yes, how does this work? What qualifications made Oz more qualified than Fetterman?

Being a presenter on a tv show?

Serving in the Turkish military?

Selling snake oil, apparently.

Well, if you are going to go with the standard qualifications to represent Pennsylvania, I suppose the Turkish military is right up there.

And these important issues of crime and inflation....the media always assumed those voters would choose republicans . But not all did at all. Some clearly thought the Dems were stronger on those issues.

Of course they did! The GOP had literally no answers on any of it, and if you want to talk about crime, the fish rots from the head down. The GOP has been open that their crimes don’t matter so why should anyone take them seriously when they feign to care about how crime affects people?

Do you also agree that Vance, Oz, and Walker are unqualified?

Oz was a carpetbagger and a terrible campaigner but he was objectively intelligent. Walker is just as terrible as Fetterman. Other than his affinity for Trump I actually don’t have a problem with Vance. I place more import on competence and character than ideology and country over party. But I seem to be in a vanishing minority.

So that is your minimum standard for qualification for that office?

Character? Your definition of character is a snake oil salesman? Typical MAGA trash. No wonder your side lost.

We shouldn't be surprised that PA voters elected Fetterman - a man who struggles to compose a sentence.

They also elected a man who has been dead for over a month to state Rep. - Tony DeLuca.

I’d like to send you a platter of crudités from Wegner’s, along with some tequila to drown your sorrows.

There’s going to be a special election. Ask John Ashcroft about how this happens sometimes.

True for many in some areas. Fetterman was mayor of an old town that lost jobs, wears hoodie, PA regional accent, and chased a man running with his shotgun after he thought he heard gunshots. That guy turned out to be an innocent jogger who happened to be AA. Fetterman;

PA likes real. Fetterman is real. He is like that person everyone knows. He appealed to both parties, which is not unusual in PA historically. He knows the people, he knows the issues, he knows how to talk respectfully about the issues with people who disagree with him, he knows how to admit to mistakes and be human, which makes him trustworthy. That matters a lot in PA. We can respect each other and agree to disagree, but trust that a person won't go off the rails too far.

Oz was so far outsdie of the PA ethos it was always a ridiculous choice for the Republicans. Know your state.

The jogger he chased endorsed Fetterman.
