If this doesn’t convince everyone of global warming, then I don’t know what will?

Huh? That was from a tropical depression.

I’m in NW Connecticut and we are supposed to get almost 5” of rain today and 4 tomorrow. Insane!

One EXTREMELY loud thunderclap that woke up even my deep sleeping DH, and many more that woke me up. Not looking forward to checking out my basement this morning. Downtown Silver Spring.

There was a brief news clip this morning on how weather related disasters have increased five-fold over the past 50 years. I'm 54 and have lived in the DMV most of my life. Even I can see how it has changed since childhood.

I absolutely believe in climate change, but that storm isn't the reason. I'm also 54 and remember storms like this in PA. This is not new.

I’m not doubting climate change, I very much know it is real. But having grown up in the south east and been through hurricanes, this was not abnormal.

2.75 inches in our rain gauge in Rockville from a 45 minute storm. Crazy.

Ida was 100% fueled by climate change and the moisture of this storm— which will cause flooding across the northeast is likewise a result of warming waters

It’s definitely a competition. I guess I should have told my youngest daughter to shaddap and go back to sleep because it was…worse in Del Ray?
