They most violent elements of the storm just passed us in Glover Park DC. I don’t think I’ve ever seen that much lightening or heard louder thunder.
I’d be truly terrified if I encountered that while driving. We got some rain - it sounded like big rain drops, but wasn’t torrential in volume. Very strange storm. |

I just got a notification of an armed carjacking on my Citizen app. I mean it’s bad enough already, but to have it happen during this storm. 😩 |

Must have been really scary in Louisiana. The fact that we are experiencing a tamer storm is surprising.
I was asleep, dreaming about the thunder and lightning, then a loud thunder woke me up and felt really frightened because the experience from my dream is actually happening. |

| In Bethesda. Our street looks like white water rafting. White caps and all. Everyone’s trash and recycling cans washing away. Crazy amount of water. Flash flooding is real! |

| Missed us in annapolis I guess. Up with baby and I do hear thunder/ see some lightning, but nothing like you’re all reporting in dmv. Sounds scary! |

| Burtonsville Moco. I’ve got 2 dogs. One is laying on me breathing so hard I can feel his warm breath. The other one is pacing and panting around the bed. Luckily my kid is a deep sleeper. The thunder was crazy and now it’s torrential rain. I’ve got to get up for work in an hour. |

| Up since 3:30. Wasn't the thunder that woke me up, but the massive amount of rain that was very loud on the roof. Only have seen this much rain in a very few times in my life. Still tons of rain right now, but it slowed. The flux of the rain at 3:30 AM though was crazier than monsoon seasons in south east Asia. Street looks like a river. I expect flooding in places with higher flood risk. Silver Spring. |
