Why are Communist memes acceptable, while Nazi symbols (rightfully) get you canceled

+1 Communists are the true scourge of mankind.

Seethe more, commie.

This is exactly why it's acceptable to post Communist memes and not Nazi ones

There is a general understanding that people who post the hammer and sickle, wear Che Guevara t-shirt, etc. are misguided, naive young people who use it to mean "hey, maybe the 1% shouldn't own everything," but are not actually advocating for the establishment of a totalitarian regime, while there is also a general understanding that people who post swastikas mean "I am literally advocating for the establishment of a fascist state that will actively pursue genocide."

It's exactly the same reason why we ignore Zoomer "I hate my life" memes but take "I am going to kill myself" seriously. Context matters. The fact is that despite what Fox News has told you, there is absolutely no serious, organized movement to seize the means of production, whereas there definitely is a serious movement to establish the US as a white ethnostate.

The perpetrators who forced Native Americans to march the Trail of Tears were capitalists.

Bro, you mad about Nazi symbols not being "accepted"?

Please just go back to Parler.

No, Nazi symbols should not be accepted - but neither should Communist paraphernalia, because Communism led to genocides and mass murder. And Che Guevara was a terrorist. Why has nobody in Montgomery County called to complain and remove the Che Guevara graffiti from Silver Spring? This is extremely offensive to Cuban Americans and victims of Communism.

Communism is a philosophy that has some produced some good and some evil. Same with religion. Democracy. Capitalism.

Naziism is connected to a certain (mass-murdering) time in history.

They are different from one another in category.

Please list any GOOD produced by Communism? In USSR, China, North Korea, Cuba, .........

I grew up in the USSR and while things were poor (comparatively), there was plenty that was good. I don't know if you would count it as something produced by communism but there was definitely a lot I would have dearly loved to see replicated here.

According to a graphic from Information is Beautiful entitled simply 20th Century Death, communism was the leading ideological cause of death between 1900 and 2000. The 94 million that perished in China, the Soviet Union, North Korea, Afghanistan, and Eastern Europe easily (and tragically) trump the 28 million that died under fascist regimes during the same period.

During the century measured, more people died as a result of communism than from homicide (58 million) and genocide (30 million) put together. The combined death tolls of WWI (37 million) and WWII (66 million) exceed communism's total by only 9 million.

It gets worse when you look at the lower right of the chart—The Natural World—which includes animals (7 million), natural disasters (24 million), and famine (101 million). Curiously, all of the world's worst famines during the 20th century were in communist countries: China (twice!), the Soviet Union, and North Korea.

My uncle served in the same unit as Audie Murphy and together they killed lots of Nazis in WWII. My uncle bravely killed many more communists in Korea. He has passed on, but will always be a true American hero.

Extremists - whether commie or nazi- are worthless scumbags and the US should show them the least tolerance allowed by law.

The ACLU used to have the right idea here. Sad that they have drifted so far left.

I think that’s op’s point. Someone posted a communist flag in the thread, and it’s not removed. If someone posted a nazi flag, it would be removed. Both should be removed. Both are abhorrent.

Not just any communist flag, but that of our Lend-Lease allies in triumph over the Reichstag.
