yeah, but it wont be up to the club. It will be up to the local counties, states, federal govt, and the national leagues. You wont have bethesda playing and pipeline not. These clubs cant act like it doesnt exist. And those that have signed on should at least have some guidance from the club about what they plan on doing if covid is still keeping things shut down. Like delaying monthly payments until games start. Instead of September thru January, shift it to December-April if needed. |

Make decisions based on evidence, not fear

whats the difference? you're still paying the same amount-- 100% of a soccer contract for 50% or 60% of the time. You're just paying later. |

I’m not sure what this means. I’m deciding on the cost versus the risk of having zoom soccer |
There is “The New England Journal of Medicine” and then there is evidencenotfear.com for all your unbiased scholarly medical information. |
The DMV will be Zoom soccer... The interesting factor is how other states will be full on though. Texas and Florida. Perhaps we can put together some DCUM soccer teams for those willing to travel. |
LOLOLOL! |
Last time I checked, CNN, Fox News, NBC and every other major media outlet are biased as well. Glad you all find top Epidemiologists from around the world funny. Seems to me they have the best interest of the people rather than the politics. You should really take the time to look at the data and put your politics aside. |
I have. When you need a website like evidencenotfear.com you might want to take a look at the echo chamber you have made for yourself. |
Then I love my chamber! I make decisions based on evidence and data! Not what Rachel Maddow, Sean Hannity or GMA tell me. I'll enjoy freedom over the summer while you sit inside. Thanks for the reminder =) |
So this is from the about section of that website ... We are a small group of people in the UK with families and careers across sectors including technology and engineering, retail, fitness and the service industries. Essentially, we are ordinary British people who are concerned about the direction the UK is heading in response to COVID-19. Are you suggesting the opinions of some brits who are upset with their government’s approach to COVID is unbiased? My neighbor is a Navy Seal and he says that is bollocks |
Believe what you want. I'll believe what I want. |
It shows your ignorance then. If you want to drive your car with no seatbelt on, then so be it. You alone will suffer the consequences. This isnt a seatbelt situation though. Your actions can directly affect others. Have some respect for others. |
What you BELIEVE doesn’t matter. The science isn’t a belief system. But your website is economic driven. Here is a quote from their “about” page: “ How much suffering and death will result from the economic disruption caused by the government’s emergency measures?” This site is not a public health site, it is a “don’t be afraid to reopen site”. That it fits your personal desire and beliefs does not make it true. |
| Realistically clubs shouldn’t charge any fees to players that are coming back until we know for sure there’ll be field practices and games. If clubs start charging families and then soccer is no possible until 2021, I’m afraid we’ll be robbed again. |
