Letting kids ahead of you in the bathroom line?

Oh to be clear I wasn't using the toilet myself (I had to pee but I wasn't going to, with the kid waiting and the woman berating me outside the door). I was solely using the room as a changing facility for the baby. But yeah I kind of made the suggestion tongue in cheek/ in annoyance when I opened the door, I probably shouldn't have. The bathroom and insist they try about 50% of the time so they don’t get ‘on the verge of an accident’.

A 3 year old who is likely unreliable and may well poop/pee herself if she has to wait more than a minute definitely takes precedence over a baby in a soiled diaper. You were definitely wrong. And self-absorbed.

Yes we should all let kids in front of us all the time, and adults and babies are never allowed to use the bathroom, always yielding to the stream of little kids (at a kid friendly venue) even after waiting in line. Please. It’s not like OP cut in front of anyone or denied a kid begging to go right away. She just went when it was her turn despite some unsupervised kid sprinting up and trying to run in ahead of her.

I absolutely love that you opened the door with the diaper in your hand. Really sorry to hear of that person‘s rudeness. And it’s super bizarre they didn’t ask to come into the bathroom with the child since they were cruise directing, even if it was really awkward over all.

We’ve had to put pull-ups on on the train for sudden emergency poops. Figured it was better to let her flash the other passengers then leave a mess on the floor! And we definitely checked for need at every bathroom prior to getting on metro. I get it. Handy there was a sink!

Ummm, if your kid can’t hold in pee for longer than one or two full minutes from the time of announcing “I have to pee” to the accident, they aren’t potty trained enough for public yet. Because honestly you can’t always find a bathroom in the 90 seconds it takes to change a tiny baby’s diaper, in this scenario!
