Oh please. Give me a break, troll. As for the quip about for every hot chick, there's a man tired of f---ing her? I absolutely believe that, though I usually hear that from my male friend as his pick up line as a rebound guy. And FWIW, just because it's a true cliche, doesn't mean it should be acted upon. It just goes to show that no matter how good looking the woman, no matter how fugly the man is (thinking of Billy Joel and Christie Brinkley in this case... blech!), if a man's going to cheat, he's going to find a way and an excuse. Bottom line. I would be of the camp to turn this into a "Lucky Day" for Elin. Damn, if I was married to Tiger and had an iron-clad prenup (which hopefully had a clause in there for adultery on either part) and he went off and did this?? I would be doing the total HAPPY DANCE to get half his money and either find a new man or just enjoy life! But for the heartbreak, she's in the catbird seat. I would totally trade places with her in a heartbeat! |

Men frequently cheat when their wives are pregnant because they feel pushed aside by the baby. That is because men are babies.  Just kidding, guys.
Seriously, a person who cheats has something wrong inside themselves. It isn't about how attractive their spouse is, or how happy the marriage is, or how well their spouse treats them. It is looking outside the marriage to find something lacking in themselves. Even if there are troubles in the marriage, there are other ways to deal with them. |

There's nothing wrong inside of Tiger - he is a mega celebrity with many, many opportunities to cheat with beautiful women. I don't know any man who could really handle all of the sexual attention that mega celebrities get - my husband included.
Why do we buy into the sqeaky clean image of any celebrity anyway? What is wrong with us? |

I think PP just means that being a mega-watt celebrity or high ranking politician means you will become accustomed to people bending to your will, catering to you, gushing over you. It would be a rare person who was not corrupted on the way to fame and power. They may not start out that way, but they all seem to end up that way.

He's a classic narcissist -- so many celebrities, sports figures, politicians, CEOs are. And I'm always interested in whether the person rose to their level of power and fame as a result of their narcissism or whether they became narcissists after the fact. Regardless, it's actually in the DSM as a personality disorder, fwiw.
On a side note, I talked to a male trader friend in NY today and he said that guys are secretly high-fiving Tiger and saying he is their personal hero (for this). Go figure. |
