Show of hands! Who thinks Tiger's wife was beating him with a golf club and the crash was staged?

Did they all have character flaws and things wrong with them? not really. well professional athletes are the royals of our time. they probably shouldn't marry given the rules of present-day society.

You seriously think that Henry VIII or Julius Caesar or early royalty had no character flaws?? Wow. I am not even an avid student of history but I see a lot wrong with that assertion. I can think of no person in human history - much less no royal personage - who had no character flaw, can you?

Cheating is wrong. If someone wants to sleep with lots of women, or lots of men, he should not take a vow not to do so. Or, if he has taken such a vow, he is morally bound to leave the marriage first.

was responding to this: "Seriously, a person who cheats has something wrong inside themselves. It isn't about how attractive their spouse is, or how happy the marriage is, or how well their spouse treats them. It is looking outside the marriage to find something lacking in themselves. Even if there are troubles in the marriage, there are other ways to deal with them."

I don't think every successful man cheats because of these reasons. Of course we ALL have character flaws.

Wealth and power allows you to be/show more of who you really are. And isn't it human to succumb to one or more of the following: wrath, greed, sloth, pride, lust, envy and gluttony?

The leaders you chose are classic examples of talented men with dramatic character flaws (beyond sexual fidelity issues). Seems like you do know about Henry and his women. I believe Julius Caesar had both male and female... dalliances.

Henry VIII was a monster. He had his wife's head cut off on trumped up charges, leaving his (unwanted girl) child motherless.

Dunno.. Elin seems pretty handy with those clubs.

If I were gorgeous and wealthy like Elin, I would move on.

Wasn't Henry VIII a little off because of inbreeding and mercury, or maybe it was lead, poisoning?

The second wife he had executed (Kitty Howard) actually was guilty of adultery.

Never heard that. Seemed to me it was absolute power, corrupts absolutely.
