Show of hands! Who thinks Tiger's wife was beating him with a golf club and the crash was staged?

Someone said the other woman is ugly - IMHO looks aren't always what it's about. It's about the guy getting something he feels he's missing.

Tiger and his wife had a couple of kids not too long ago. I'm sure he's away a lot. Those two things, even absent any other stressors we may not know about can cause trouble in any marriage.

I don't think Elin is all that great looking. Kind of generic blonde. Pretty enough, I guess, but doesn't really stand out.

Which isn't to say she doesn't have many other lovely or endearing qualities.

He strikes me as someone who might be a bit sensitive so maybe he doesn't want to deal with the extra scrutiny because that might screw up his game.

Aren't blondes usually given extra attractiveness points for being blonde, ie, they don't have to be as good looking as other shades to be considered attractive? Same with tall people.

I feel for Elin.

Having little kids is stressful for any marriage.
A lot of moms are their own worst enemies trying to be perfect moms and expecting their husbands to be perfect dads as well.
Tiger is used to being the center of attention and getting whatever he wants. He is away a lot--even if she has tons of paid help, she needs love and care as well.
I would guess it's hard to be under constant media scrutiny.
Each of these as a standalone could drive someone crazy, esp if this board is any indicator.

Moms are known to loose it and abuse their husbands or their children. This looks like an argument that went way to far and that Elin was physically attacking him. This could be something that has happened before or it could be an isolated incident. It looks as though they are refusing to speak to anyone about, most likely, because of the repercussions.
