Show of hands! Who thinks Tiger's wife was beating him with a golf club and the crash was staged?

I hate Tiger Woods. So I find the whole thing amusing.

Ditto.

We're quoting Chris Rock on marital issues now? That's rich.

My husband is a hot, charismatic college professor, with sweet uninhibited young things flinging themselves at him at least once a semester. Talk about options. Guess I should pack my bags, hm?

Professors getting involved with students can get him fired as well as in trouble with you...

Please. I had at least two professors when I was in college who married (their own) former students. A prof has endless access to eager young women, whether before they graduate, or just immediately after. Heck, I knew one gal who transferred so that she could sleep with our ConLaw professor.

Maybe those women aren't really options because of the potential consequences.

What is it they say about humor? It's funny because it's true.....

Def. think she was beating him with a golf club...but don't think the crash was staged. I think he was fleeing for his life...she even smashed in the back window on his way out.

There are some really mean people on this thread. OP, please don't let them make you feel bad. It's natural to be curious about this; it's just so strange and intriguing, and so seemingly out of character.

oh--- the theory is that he keeps cancelling with the police to give his facial wounds (inflicted by wife) time to heal. Law officials are investigating it like a crime because they think she is guily of domestic violence. This goes with my theory of you never know what goes on behind closed doors. Some of the calmest, happy-seeming ppl have some crazy cr*p going on at home.

Yuck. Were the professors married at the time? Wonder if it would be the same if they felt pressured to trade sex for grades like in some countries where a few women are extremely lucky to have made it to college and all professors are men.

Had it been Mrs. Woods driving and hitting the hydrant and tree while Tiger was swinging a club, wouldn't you expect at least an investigation by the police for possible domestic violence?

Why should it be different since he was driving and she was swinging the club...?

Of the ones who married former students, one was single, one coincidentally/conveniently divorced his wife about the time his student graduated. Yuck is right. The ConLaw professor was sleeping with my sorority sister already, then pushed her to transfer before his tenure process started. The committee found out, though, and denied him tenure.

Point being, a man is not as faithful as his options. He's as faithful as his character. That's why I don't worry about my professor husband cheating, even though his options are many.

Yep. hypocrisy when it comes to treating both sexes equally in this regard.

Oh gosh, I wouldn't define a gold digger as an "option" PP. Really, shouldn't the "diggee" (Tiger) have seen the other one coming a mile away? Shouldn't he be stronger than that? It would be different if the other woman had something to offer; shes not ugly, but she kind of looks like a drag queen.

Trust me, everyone is looking to make money off Tiger. How sad. But shouldn't he know that by now?

I know someone who had recently run into a LOT of money. The trash he was dating tricked him into buying her a new top of the line "E" class and a pricey condo; BECAUSE he didn't want to marry her. Red flag anyone?

THEN (apparently another "business" agreement) he married her when she agreed to have one of his children (he came from a big family and wanted many; she was an unwanted single child). I don't call THAT a recipe for a happy ending.

Point being, I think men should either scrutinize their choices more (ie: run, don't walk) or be prepared to PAY bigtime later; because they are getting involved with women who are WELL versed in making them PAY.

In this case, WHY should she be getting jewelry for almost killng her husband with an IRON golf club? And you bet the other woman will be paid off too. The only smart thing these people knew to do was to was to shut their mouths to the public, lest they have to pay off anyone else.

If no one will press charges do they still investigate?
