Rose Hanbury sat at Prince William’s table

I don't think that chick is good looking AT ALL. I can't believe she was a model, other than being super thin. Is there a better picture of her?

I think Kate is still cute, although that white dress isn't the best. And the blue dress would be better if it were a different material that didn't resemble curtains.

Someone posted a pic of Kate with lockjaw Mnuchin. She had the "please save me" look on her face.

The Trump people are such an embarrassment. And did you see Dotard's tux? OMG.

As for Rose Cholmondeley, was she invited because her husband was there? Is there a protocol that requires his attendance at these state events?

Sarah Vine, a Daily Mail (the "Fail") columnist. She wrote an article about Meghan and used the word "niggling," and was criticized for it as suggestive of something racial. Her husband is an MP, Michael Gove.

It feels like you are answering questions nobody asked

DP here:
Sarah Vine is the "woman in black". The OP inquired as to who the woman is and the PP answered the question.

Sarah Vine is more well known for hating Kate. Interesting that William's romantic partner chose to walk in with her. I'm thinking this Rose is stating she has thorns.

I don't think you get to choose who you walk in with. It's all precedence and decided in advance.

I find it more interesting that Mrs. Steve Mnuchin was in the Lifetime movie about Will and Kate. That seems much more of an awkward situation to me.

The English Rose Prince William dipped his wick in.

If there were any truth to that rumor that ugly giraffe would not be there tonight. You are so thirteen.

I think OP is ridiculous but that isn't true. She's married to an important guy who is expected at dinners like this. She can't be cut out entirely because of her husband.

I'd argue that Rose Hanbury walking in with a Daily Mail columnist is quite the statement. Not only is Sarah Vine not aristocracy and Rose is, but Rose's title as Marchioness of Cholmondeley assured (at least previously so) that she would walk into State Banquets ABOVE British women titled with only Ms./Mrs or even just Lady.

So WTH happened here? I think Kate tried to put her foot down (again) and Rose knew just how to twist in her thorns being an aristo born to aristocrats.

Yep. It took Camilla 40 years to get into formal state banquets...Rose is a smart woman I'll give her that. And more connected than even her rival realizes.

It looks better than Kate’s by a mile. They’re both wearing white too. To be a fly on the wall in that room!

I disagree. Kate looks regal. This woman looks like she walked in from Forever 21.

I’d say Rose has that Carolyn Bessette Kennedy elegance about her. The dress isn’t wearing her, she’s the focus and it’s gorgrous. She was born to wealth and blue bloods - the regal air without the tiara is incredible.

Barf. Your obsession is very strange.

Sarah Vine always has her hand on her chin because she needs to hold her head up - a challenge with no neck:

Enough truth that Prince William sent his lawyers running.[/quote

DP Either way you would find Prince William guilty. If he had said nothing you would say "see he did have an affair because he isn't defending himself" And when he does you say "see he did have an affair because "enough truth that he sent his lawyers running."

I very much doubt it because he know how much it hurt his mother and she wouldn't have been invited.

Is there a thing about wearing white to this event? Many of the women are (Queen, Camilla, Melania, Kate...)
Someone else posted in the Trump women fashion thread that protocol says covered shoulders for these dinners....but Rose is bare-shouldered. Is there a protocol?

For those reading "signs" into everything....Kate is wearing Diana's favorite tiara, which COULD be read to a subtle sign to her husband (what would your mom think about your tom-catting) and a sign to Rose (she's the future queen of england, and rose can jump in the lake).

Is rose aristo or just married an old guy to b?

She's aristo. Her grandmother was the Queen's bridesmaid. You don't get much more blue blood than that.

I couldn't even stand seeing those Trumptards mingling with the royal family. Such a waste of important people's time.

However, it was a time for Kate to make it v clear she is numero uno around there these days and soon will be queen and the Rose's in her life can suck it.

Hard for her to make that clear when the actual future Queen Consort was the Prince of Wale's mistress for decades. And the palace denied it for so long that now that they're spinning tales about the English Rose, no one believes them.

This is about as credible as The Enquirer, right?

I feel sorry for Kate. I really do. I'd love to see her divorce that horse face.
