How do you know if it hasn't been announced anywhere? If it is true and you are a "friend" in the know, why would you leak something like that. Not really trustworthy.

Hang on, is it trustworthy if they’re right or if they’re wrong?

trustworthy friend. If true, maybe Lee or whomever told him didn't want it to get out. I've heard rumors of other coaches moving else where but it's not my business to come on here and divulge it.

Perhaps people are spreading rumors to get folks on the board worked up. Probably ignore until something official is announced.

That's what I was thinking.

Sounds like a reach by the ED to salvage the teams that are losing their coach. I don’t doubt that Lee was liked by his teams at SYC, but from what I have been told the issues were with how he was abusing his position as the TD. Lee has coached some good teams at SYC but the cloud surrounding him is regarding people’s inability to trust him and him being in it for himself $$$. Parents haven’t seen this side of it but yet the ED is hiring whatever she can get her hands on after the TD debacle.

Couldn't agree more!

Now I'm wait to hear what the club has to say at the Group Meeting next week. Looking forward to see the "newly structured technical stuff" and the Technical Staff "enhancements" ALL lead by the Executive Director and not the Technical Director (as it should be).

How do you know the new TD is not leading it. Just because they haven't announced it doesn't mean that they don't have one or that he is not working on things. Obviously you could be correct as well but if you are so negative on it, feel free to move on. It's a free market.

What's the big deal, the ED should be able to manage.

Correct, it's just the annoying critics that complain that bother me. I feel the club was dealt a tough blow and is trying to work through it while others have nothing better to do then just to put it down. What ever, it's a forum that people can say what ever but just annoying to see the same guy continuously come back and try to put everything on the ED.

I think it is fair to put it on the ED when she clearly is inept at running the club. My kids played there in the past and we watched year after year really good coaches leave because of her mismanagement. What is sad is that the so called board members have sat idly by and watched this happen time and time again. They should be ashamed that their own poor leadership has allowed for her to remain in charge and lose quality coaches even before this current situation. It became obvious over the years my kids played there that the ED controls the board and calls all the shots.

Anonymous wrote:Yeah, and really what did the old TD do for the club?

Did he really build a program that developed players to a high level? How many players left DA to come to LMVSC just for one of his coaches?
More like he benefited from a Pareto distribution and had a couple of strong players here and there, which allowed him to siphon off a few strong players from other small clubs in the immediate area.

He, and his team recruited to put together a few teams of "superstars," but has any of them really developed a superstar team?

Historically players develop and move on to DAs by the other way around. How many kids have moved on to play at a DA from the club since the Old TD was originally hired? That would be a good judge of development as well as how many teams are ranked in the Top 50 or Top 100. This would be a reflection on the coaching staff that the TD hired to development these teams.

The talent is there, but not everyone is interested on moving their kid to DA. I don't care to drive to Arlington or Leesburg 4 times per week during rush hour. I Don' care for my kid to practice strenuously 4 times a week to "earn" a spot on a game over the weekend.
I'm OK with my kid been part of a team that ranks in the top 5 in the state!!!! Boys 2009,2008,2006,2005,2004,2003... Google it!

Yep, big bass in a small pond is the king.

Jump in the ocean means you got to be a shark to swim with the sharks.

To each his own.

The “ocean” is just too damn big and the “sharks” aren’t that impressive. Belgium is a tiny country where no one has to travel 500 miles for a soccer game. The base of their pyramid is much narrower than ours, and we still need our keeper to make 15 saves against them. US Soccer has a crappy new logo and the same old garbage.

You do know the Club hired a PR/Marketing person right after Este's departure. LOL

Don't forget the Club has been part of CCL since 2015 and their social media accounts have more than 1,000 followers....All thanks to Este (former) Technical Director!

The Club was going from "trashy" to classy... but now I hear the ED is trying to bring the TD that was "fired" by SYC. What a joke!

I'm glad we're all on board with the fact that as TD, Este's measure of success was social media.
