Was there a change of heart or did the club find out the truth about their hire. Heard there was a past that would have been undesirable in youth sports. How did the hire happen without the necessary vetting. |
What you've heard is a bunch of bs coming from the SYC brass. Every hire LMVSC has made, some wild accusation has been hinted at in these forums and been spread like gossip at a middle school. Este is the middle school mean girl of TDs, gossiping and tweeting his way to the top. He may be bringing kids to SYC, but I'm happy to stay as far away from that kind of person. |
Someone struck a nerve with the above question. Obvious response from someone from our club that wants to deflect the attention toward someone else. Sad that our LMVSC folks would stoop to this type of comment. As a current parent I sure do hope whatever is being mentioned above is not true. I would be disappointed if our club’s leadership is hiding the truth from our parents. |
Yup, slanderous accusations about every hire LMVSC makes are ok, but not calling the man spreading those lies out. Keep peddling in bs gossip and acting like every club doesn't do background checks. |

It's a real shame that a few at SYC (not saying it's Este b/c I'm sure he could care less about what is being said here) are so concerned with LMVSC that they are making false accusations about a person without knowing the truth. Background checks are even run on coaches so I'm assuming it was the same for the TD if not more. On the other thread they have pretty much declared themselves winners of the recruitment game, tryout numbers are higher, they have world class coaches, etc.
What is the need to continue to try to drag another club down. Just continue to do you. Yes, numbers may be low but I get the feeling that coaches and staff are trying their best to retain their players and find new ones even though the current situation is not on their side. This is little kid soccer and some of you are treating it like a gang turf war. Let it be. Move on. |
The background check isn’t even at a club level, it’s done by the state association. People are spreading lies so they can win their youth soccer game of thrones. |
It’s all about the $$$. That is youth sports these days. |
Right, because Lula is such a great person! For years and years people have talked negatively about her- parents, team managers, coaches, players on her teams, other clubs, etc. ... She is one nasty, sour lady, you do realize that families are running away from Lula and her leadership right? Also interesting, some of her coaches' kids are even moving to SYC too! Glad you are staying, Lula will value you loyalty! See you at rankings! |
Your inability to form a sentence is amazing. That JMU education is really shining through. Also, it's real nice of you to hammer home the point that your tactics are nothing more than name calling. |
| Would you two get a room already! |
|
If the majority of people left LMVS to go to SYC doesn't that speak on who is the better person for soccer development?
Correct me if Im wrong but didn't ED just recently before try outs started making a appearance? People will follow good leadership and if you're mad because you stayed believing it was right that's fine but sometimes look around the room and realize if everyone is walking out it's for a good reason. |
| I attended JMU too. However, the move was really a no-brainier. |
It does not speak to who is better nor was it a contest. Players/Families followed coaches they are comfortable with. LMVSC has some syc players. Syc players left to go to bryc. Syc has more teams because more coaches that este brought in left to Syc. Not sure that speaks to anything in regards to which club is best for development. It ultimately boils down to if the coach is a good fit for your child. |

^^This. It is about KIDS.
This pissing contest between LMVSC and SYC is immature and petty. Do better, your players are watching. |
Maybe the kids are behind all this and followed the coaches they are comfortable with? Maybe the parents forced all the kids to switch clubs. |
