It would be like you saying you have a chicken and a goat that lives in your house and you cuddle it every day and night. And it sleeps in your bed. Cultures are different. I would just tell them and get it over with and be so thankful you have distance. |
I also get why the parents would be hard to tell about the dog, but one of the great joys of living far away is that you don't have to sweat small stuff like this. Just don't tell them, OP. Or tell them, let them vent, and let it roll off your back. |
