Handmaid's Tale Season 2

I wish the show would focus a bit less on Offred/June and let us know more about the other characters. I'd love to know more about the background and internal thoughts of Serena.

I cringe watching Aunt Lydia scenes but am growing to love them. But I'm wondering how they caught the bread guy and his family too. June didn't leave till 5, why didn't the guardians storm the apartment?

June's character is ironic considering she's a scientologist

I’m guessing they didn’t know she was there. I bet he had already been made. He said it wasn’t safe and tried to call it off. They may not have know she was going to be smuggled out.

I don’t think I have the stomach to watch this week’s episode, where June has been caught. Can someone please summarize it for me?

This week's episode isn't as bad p.p

I actually felt a tiny bit bad for Serena joy

I disagree. This episode upset me the most so far. To watch June psychically stripped down to nothing was horrible, felt utterly hopeless.

Does anyone else get the feeling that Serena doesn't even want a baby? She seems so consumed by her limited role in society and her anger that she seems almost forced into wanting a baby.

+1 to more backstory into other characters. I would love to see their lives before the regime change.

I wonder if her being broken down will lead to stockholm syndrome for June/Offred

The actress who plays Aunt Lydia is really good. I've seen her in other things before and have always thought she is very talented. Ugh, I'm sort of dreading watching the new episode! It's like I want to see it, but don't, at the same time.

June isn't a Scientologist. The actress who plays her is but there was no mention of Scientology at all in the series or the book.

I think the little boy said something that gave June away. The parents were taken in for questioning, and somehow gave her enough time to figure out not to wait any longer. I love that the dad's a Muslim. It gives insight into what men, too, have lost in the New Gilead.

That girl's got chutzpah!! She has taken risks that I don't know if I could possibly do.

Now, for the rest: Serena is sublimating so much anger she sometimes looks like she's vibrating with rage. She helped write the whole damn thing, and now is suffering under it. Her ungrateful, promiscuous husband has degraded her to the extreme. A baby is the only was she can gain standing among the other Blues. She's not craving cuddles. She wants prestige, which she thinks is her right for having played such an important role in the establishment of Gilead.

Please remember, this was not simply a movement. They bombed both the Capitol and all the representatives in it, and the White House, taking out the President. It was a military take over. They took control in the vacuum of structural power. No checks and balances, kids. Just Gilead.

Canada, I've made fun of you in my life. I'd like to apologize and thank you for your sensible and honorable stance against fictional Gilead. You're awesome!

Elizabeth Moss has earned every bit of the acclaim she's been awarded. Her face tells such stories, there's so much in her features it's incredible.

I hope I'm not spoiling anything for anyone, but the casting of June's mother could NOT have been more spot on, she's magnificent and raised June well.

Well, I guess I'll see you guys in the Colonies. Be sure to pack your poison of choice!

Is this only available on Hulu? Not seeing it on Amazon Prime Video or Apple.
