Attendance ar Nationals games is so very white ....

I for one an ashamed at my fellow white liberal/progressives in this thread. How dare we start stating our opinions until we've had Ta Nehisi Coates weigh in and tell us what to think. Didn't you forget the rules. On all racial matters, good white liberals must wait until Master Coates informs us of what position we should take to be good white folks.

Lets be real I'm AA. I lot of us don't enjoy baseball to watch. Its not about rich/poor AA just aren't/want to spend there money of a baseball game. Its a choice its like someone tells us we can't go to the game. We just choose not to just like Hockey.

How come no female player? At least 1\2 the players should be female. We need a law or a march or some thing.

50 year old white female here, I watch at least 2 full games a week. It is not boring at all and I never played it as a kid. Why do we make this into some issue? The very best male athletes in this country (many of whom are AA) play basketball, so what?! and finally, go Dusty, win us the WS we have been waiting for a championship for a long time....

That's kind of a funny statement. Here is the Nationals manager with his team ...

Ok, God, the terminally annoying U.Md. booster is also a baseball fan.

And she's a God fan too!

It's not a money issue.

It is very much a money issue. I went to a Nats game as part of a company outing and it ended up costing nearly $100. $30 for the ticket, $15 for a sandwich, $15 for an alcoholic beverage, $30 for an Uber ride back to my car 2 miles away due to surge pricing ( I walked on the way there). Others in my group drank multiple beers and more than 1 food item and several of them go to games on a regular basis. I can't imagine going on a regular basis and taking my kid. Yes, you could not eat or drink and just go for the game, but a kid will want popcorn, ice cream or something. And it gets hot out there! You can bring in bottled water but still...not worth it to me.

Similar experience here at the game I attended. In fact there didn't seem to be many people paying attention, most were sitting around drinking beer and socializing...if being buzzed is a requirement to enjoy the game that may limit the audience.

Of course an entitled person would scoff at the cost of attending a game!

You sound like a racist. Are you?

^^this isn't racism, you knob.

Yes, it clearly is. Clearly. Prejudice is prejudice and you newly reconstructed definition of racism to include only whites...... is racist bullsh*t.

If you think that's bad, don't even try to go to a football game!

How embarassing a comment, but please do not hold it against all black people as a whole. Let's isolate this ignorant comment to one individual please and not ascribe it to an entire racial group.
