| I mean, game after game, streams of fans--almost all of whom are white--at these games. Is there outreach to minority communities? What's going on here--only rich people can afford tickets and parking? It bothers me. |
| Who cares? |
| The number of African American players has decreased. We should all care about that. |
What about some outreach to poor whites, as well? Or in your narrow world, are whites automatically rich? |

Baseball is an expensive game to play as a child. It requires specialized field space and equipment and organization to field 2 teams to play against each other. Compare that to basketball, which really only requires a ball and hoop and can be played 1 on 1 or with full teams. Baseball hasn't been a popular urban sport in years.
Have you ridden the green line out to a game? Navy yard is like last call for white people on the trains. It's kind of funny. |
| Sports in the US = white coaches ordering minority players around on a field or court or whatever. Why would a Black person want to watch that?? |
| I noticed the local soccer fields are full of families who are very brown! So what, to each his own. People overthink things. |
| It's this way for all baseball games. The nats aren't special |
You sound like a racist. Are you? |
The ones I see there appear to be doing well. Others are yelling sexist taunts. |
Last call for small plates and craft beer! |
|
Nats tickets are cheap compared to about every other major league sport. You can easily get tickets for $30, compared to $75+ for a Redskins game.
It's not a money issue. |
The cheap seats are less than optimal. Parking? Food and drink costs? Inability to get leave to spend four plus hours at a day game, maybe. |
I guess you aren't a Nats fan and know who Dusty Baker is.
|
| Baseball games are boring, just like other white sports such as golf. |
