Why? |
Baseball is like church - many attend, but few understand. If you think baseball is boring, you either aren't paying close enough attention or don't really understand the game. Most likely both. |
Ok, God, the terminally annoying U.Md. booster is also a baseball fan. |
It's fun to play and fun to watch as a kid. And it's much better watching at a stadium as opposed to watching on tv. I don't know anyone under 80 who watches an entire non playoff game on tv. |
Ok, George Will. |
Even a broken clock is right twice a day. George's twice daily flashes of being correct generally involve baseball. |
Indeed. |
I know lots of people who do that. I know some who pay extra for the privilege (MLB TV or team specific apps). Go to someplace like Boston and there are definitely people who watch nearly every Red Sox game. |
And who is "everyone"? As someone else posted, Nats baseball is one of the cheapest professional sports games to attend in the DC area. Certainly cheaper than basketball, football, or hockey. If money is the issue then I'd expect to see more less-affluent folks of whatever color at minor league games -- I don't know if that's the case. As for "outreach" to minority communities -- isn't this done already? There is Nats advertising all over the city -- on buses, inside subway stations, in newspapers, and on the radio. |
LOL OP, ever been to a HOCKEY game? |
Yes, of course. |
It's probably an excuse to drink. |
They're all manning the concession stands...seriously OP I'm surprised this even registered. It's par for the course with some sports. As a Black person, doesn't bother me one bit. People should spend there time/money/energy doing what they like. I wouldn't be there if it weren't for my kids or free tickets

You don't have to pay for Little League (at least in FFX. County where I live) if you can't afford it. |
| It's Baseball, not Basketball. Duh. |
