DCUM cannot fathom anything PG county related even though they live in Alexandria & DC, cities w/expensive homes and equally shitty schools. Go figure.

It's probably because of the *whispers* black people.

Nah. I think you overestimate the race-focus and underestimate the greed of most people. No doubt most people (of all races) choose to self-segregate if given the option. But you also see tons of people very willling to let their hunt for a good bargain to overtake their inclination toward self-segregation. Heck, that's exactly what white gentrification of black neighborhoods is all about!: greed trumps fear for lost people. If PG County offered schools and safety superior to other similarly priced neighborhoods, you'd see a flood of people moving there, regardless of anyone's race. If they're no better, then there is no draw.

No bc DC and Arlington don't offer that. But NoVa doesn't have the blacks which helps their property values.

Well, DC doesn't offer better schools nor safety. In fact, it offers worst.

Yep, the last "safe" neighborhood without having to go across the river. Near metro, future museum etc.

City of Alexandria is 22% black,

I will grant you though that the District has no black people.

City of Alexandria is 22% black. Prince William County is 21% black. Stafford is 18% black. Fairfax is 10% black. Arlington is 9% black.

booo!

ever seen it?

We lived there and loved it. What's with all the laughing face emoticons? What's the joke?

There's a 'King Farm troll' here at DCUM.

And the names of those streets! Oy! "Reserve Champion"? Lol!

Hehe some of the street names are funny. We were just renting for a couple years but loved it. Walked to metro and Safeway and ballet and karate classes, good restaurants, pool, community events for all the holidays. Tons of great playgrounds and lots of open green space. Best sense of community we have had anywhere in DC. Kids were outside playing with the neighbors under dinner time every night. It was idyllic!

Sorry but Kings Farm is not in D.C.

Definitely Kalorama. It has become billionaire row.

Unfortunately no one who hangs out on DCUM can aspire to Kalorama.

I can dream though...

Neither is Arlignton, or Bethesda and much preferred by many. Get over it.
