Yea, i am more aware than you...obviously. I've worked in restaurants and know exactly what a reprint looks like after a check has been closed out. Its a bush league scam and Anitas will haveb egg on their face for supporting such a scam. Not sure if they are supporting it for publicity or out of fear that if they dont the PC lynch mob will come roiting with their pitch forks and diaper pins. |
I question LOTS of news stories. I initially questioned the torture story out of Chicago . It's racist to think that I am only questioning this because of the race of the waitress. I would question any news story like this because they are almost always FAKE. |
Just because you don't like to question things you hear doesn't mean anyone who does is racist. It's called critical thinking. It applies, or should apply, to anything you hear and read that you didn't personally witness. |
You should always ask yourself who stands to profit when an unusual story comes out. You'd would see people like Alex Jones, or Westbrook Baptist for what they are, and understand they don't believe the crazy shit they're spouting. |

If this was a white waitress, I'd still think it was fake. If it was a homophobic slur written, I'd think it was fake. If it was a pro Trump or pro Clinton message written, I'd think it was fake. If it was a message telling Muslims to get out, I'd think it was fake. I always think these types of things are fake for the most part.
I never depart my table until my waitress takes the check back when I'm leaving a cash tip. I just don't trust another waitress or busboy to not pocket the cash. I waited tables from age 17 to 24 off and on to make money while in HS, college, and grad school. Cash money is one of the greatest temptations for people, especially cash that has yet to be accounted for. The sheer amount of turnover in the restaurant biz from people with sticky fingers is staggering. And they just move on to the next restaurant when let go from one because 99% of the time, no one calls to check references in the restaurant biz. I just get the vibe from this that it was a scheme hatched internally to garner support for the restaurant like the Comet Ping Pong restaurant received after pizzagate. Everyone rallied around that joint and planned specific outings to bring them extra business. I can see a sketchy owner/manager hatching a plan like this one to get the Ashburn community to rally and up their sales. I drive by this location on my way home each night and last night the shopping center where this Anita's is located was packed and it wasn't all people waiting for a table at Ford's Fish Shack like normally. The waitress may not be guilty, but I just don't think a customer left the message. As someone said in a previous message on page 1 or 2, racist white people love to get black waiters and waitresses to boss them around. I've seen this multiple times when in the south and waiting tables for a summer. They aren't overt with their racism but are much more passive. Being very demanding, thinking it's funny to ask for multiple items one at a time to make the waiter run around. Then they'll either leave no tip with no explanation or a very low, maybe 5% tip. One summer in Savannah, GA taught me plenty about how passively racist white people can be. |
If the man really did tip 1 cent and paid with a CC, why doesn't the guy give the news outlet the visa statement proving that? What are facts? I initially thought the waitress could have made it up, but if the client can easily prove his innocence, why is he not doing so? What is he hiding? |

If it turns out the waitress was involved in manufacturing this, the more than 160 people should get their $ back.

| Come in, that's great. "I actually did leave a tip--one cent, because the service was shitty." Makes sense that she would fake the receipt claiming the service was great. |
| Fake. Lol, what a shocker |
The evidence being photographs of the diner's receipt, which has one time stamp, and the supposedly racist receipt printed several minutes later (i.e., it's a reprint). |

I question all receipts like this, because as someone raised in a racist home with siblings who still hold those values, I'm aware that people who are racist generally don't broadcast it (obviously some do, but many are smart, successful, lead normal lives... and hate blacks, Asians, Latinos, etc). I've been out to meals with my brother and he never tips a server of color because he'll find a million reasons why they're lazy and don't deserve it, or slighted him in some way (I overtip). But he'd never write that on the receipt in a million years.
I find it hard to believe that a man would actually write "Great service, don't tip black people." Someone who is going to refuse to tip based on race would never admit that the service was great, because then he'd have to admit that he's an unfair person. Racists believe they are justified in their beliefs and actions because the other group deserves their contempt. I mean, sure it could happen, but I don't think it's wrong to at least be skeptical. |
