The Debate Commission explains why they picked those dates

"The Commission on Presidential Debates (CPD) started working more than 18 months ago to identify religious and federal holidays, baseball league playoff games, NFL games, and other events in order to select the best nights for the 2016 debates,It is impossible to avoid all sporting events, and there have been nights on which debates and games occurred in most election cycles. A debate has never been rescheduled as a result."

On the one hand, I have been waiting for months to see Hillary mop the floor with him in a debate.

On the other hand, if he tries to wriggle out, it is the final nail in the coffin (regardless what type of blather pundits can whip up re: NFL schedules).

Those who were involved in the scheduling know perfectly well that there are NFL games on Sunday and Monday. So they should have scheduled the debates on a different day of the week.

In the Democratic primaries there was a lot of rigging of dates and times for the debates. If the debates are that important both campaigns should want to have them on dates that would ensure maximum viewership.

This is actually a blessing in disquise for Trump. If everyone is watching NFL games they will miss that he has nothing but hot air and bullying.

What does he have to gain from debating Hillary? I can see him refusing to debate and gambling that his insane supporters will come out in large enough numbers in November that he will win the election. It's a gamble, and Hillary would make much of his refusal to debate, but do his supporters really care if he debates or not?

He doesn't have to convince his supporters. It's all the undecideds who he needs in order to get elected. And this is why he will do the debates, just like he did the primary debates.

There could certainly be a conspiracy. The clintons are far from being ethical, moral, or law abiding and they are vastly wealthy and have a lot of connections and ambition. Hilary and her husband dont even kive in the same home anymore.
