He has nothing to offer but hot air and the debates will surely bring that out. So, more smoke and mirrors. http://money.cnn.com/2016/07/30/media/donald-trump-presidential-debates-schedule/index.html |
On this one issue, I actually agree with Trump.
Not that the schedule was rigged but that it makes no sense for them to be scheduled on days that conflict with football games. Those who were involved in the scheduling know perfectly well that there are NFL games on Sunday and Monday. So they should have scheduled the debates on a different day of the week. In the Democratic primaries there was a lot of rigging of dates and times for the debates. If the debates are that important both campaigns should want to have them on dates that would ensure maximum viewership. |
Right. Because women (Hillary voters) don't watch football in the near the numbers that men do! |
Sunday nights are great nights for debates. NFL games are now on Sunday, Monday and Thursday nights. College games are on Saturday nights. Doesn't leave many nights open for debates. |
The schedule was made back in September 2015. No one made an issue of it in 2012. It's just a way of Trump trying to rig up an excuse not to participate. Is it more important for people to watch a football game and miss a debate, which will further educate people and help them make an informed decision about the candidate? I'd like to hear the policy positions and proposed solutions to issues important to the electorate and details on how they will be accomplished. I don't think Trump has any and that's why he is starting to complain and use the NFL schedule as an excuse. I guess if you are a Trump supporter, you don't want to know whether Trump has anything substantive to say. Like the say, " ignorance is bliss". |
In 2012, there was a debate on Monday night, nobody complained and they got plenty of viewers. |
What's Trump afraid of? |
+1 Trump doesn't want to be Bernied. If Hillary is afraid of debating Bernie, what makes you think she wants to debate Trump? |
Maybe trump should have pointed this out last year.
For a big shot executive, he sure lets a lot of things fall through the cracks. |
Truth. |
He's afraid. Knows he's going to get crushed, so better to avoid them and let people vote as-is. |
This. Trump is a blowhard and a bully, and like most bullies he's a coward at heart. Remember how he punked out of debating Sanders during the primaries? Here we go again. |
Trump claims he got a letter from the NFL. The NFL says they did not contact Trump.
Is there a doctor in the house? A psychiatrist? The man is a pathological liar with Impulse Control Disorder, Narcissistic Personality Disorder and ADD. |
In 2008, there were no debates that conflicted with the NFL schedule
In 2012, there was one debate that conflicted ......... and in 2016 there are two debates conflicting with the football games. What is the big deal about just scheduling them on dates that don't conflict? |
They should reschedule them. I'm dying to see trump try to debate hillary!! |
