Yeah, I picked up on that once I realized she wasn't referring to herself. Very confusing, but after seeing the way she defends and someone else asking about Aspergers, whether joking or serious, these are classic traits of an Aspergers individual who can't turn the corner and see a different point of view.

Has anyone ever read Jodi Picoult's "House Rules" that explains everything that the OP is exhibiting in terms of responses and defenses.

If you back away now, your sister may have a party worth remembering (even better, find something else to do that day).

What if the 3 kids were ugly instead of beautiful? Would that change the calculus here? This thread reminds me of when I used to read The Knot and The Nest and people posted outrageous things and demanded that people defend their Bridezilla-ness.

Really? She offered up two people, why not say thanks ask her for any more suggestions she can think of and do the guest vetting on your own. Although given your justification above, i honestly think you should just have a small family dinner.
