Here's the story: My little sister is graduating from college this Spring. Our aunt and her dh want throw her a surprise party at their home with their 3 beautiful little children. Our aunt reached out to me to inquire if I knew anyone who my sister would want at the party. My sister is kind of a loner and she has only really had one close friend over the years that I could think of that would be worth inviting. Looking to brainstorm if we should extend the invitation to other friends of hers to this, I reached out to this friend.
I missed this on the first pass. Now I know why OP doesn't know much about her sister's friends and boyfriend. OP is a not only clueless and rude, but she's also judgmental and obnoxious. She's rated all of her sister's friends and none of them have passed her approval. So, her sister no longer tells her about her friends, who she spends time with or even that she now has a boyfriend. OP, do everyone a favor. Tell your aunt to contact your sister's friend and just stay out of the conversation entirely. You've already done a fair amount of damage in screwing up your sister's graduation and the planning has barely started. If you back away now, your sister may have a party worth remembering (even better, find something else to do that day).
