I really enjoyed that very long thread we had on here about the Indian diplomat that underpaid her domestic help and lied about it.
And who went after her? An very ambitious Indian U.S. Attorney, but he knew where to look because apparently this is quite commonplace with the Indian diplomats. ![]() |
I work with a large number of Indians. I like them all! There are a lot of cultural differences but this is the case for many other ethnic minorities as well. Some aspects of their culture, I really dislike but I don't feel any animosity towards them for it. I am sure the feeling is mutual. |
Wow! Generalize much?! Ridiculous. |
I think that was PP's point. The other PP was generalizing about how bad Indian people are, so this PP was generalizing about white people. Generalizations can be made across the board, both good and bad. |
Um.. wasn't there a case not too long about about an American politician that had a domestic worker working for him under the table, and they "forgot" to pay the taxes on the employee, and it only came out because the politician was running for a higher level office. It happens all the time here, too. Or was it an illegal immigrant? It's quite commonplace for rich white folks to avoid taxes using offshore accounts. Wealthy people do bad things, just like non wealthy people, no matter the ethnicity. |

Um did that politician treat her like a servant? Americans don't have servants . But many foreign politicians from backwards countries DO. |
Oh boy! You are jealous. Yup, Indians come from a poor country. Millions live in slums and poverty. So, when they come to this country, maybe the expectation is that these 3rd world country people will not have the talent and brains to do well. Except they do. Not only those who come here are highly educated in prestigious fields and have brains and talent to do well, but they also have the work ethic to become affluent here. Their kids who are born here, also do well and surpass others in their achievements. They also have the benefit of their parents paying for their education and weddings. They have a vast social network here and they are able to have their feet in both cultures. So, they rise to even greater heights. That makes them a threat to Whites who are suddenly seeing these brown skin people coming from 3rd world country being able to afford the material things they can't and their brown children doing better their own snowflakes. |
Didn't do very well for yourself, did you, bacche? |
But are you upset that this Indian-American US attorney who is the son of an Indian educated doctor, went to Ivy League colleges? And his brother started Diapers.Com and is a multi-millionaire and also went to Ivy school? Do you feel bad that your own kids cannot aspire to be as smart as this Indian? His mom was a SAHM who looked after her family. His dad was the provider and a good father and husband. Their education was paid for by their parents. Their parents are still together. Preet Bahara is not the product of a broken, dysfunctional family. He is the product of an Indian upbringing. I rest my case. |
