Settle down, Landon. |
I think people are judging the parents of the kids in the cc club rather than the kids themselves. Yes, kids do naughty things, and that's why parents should be more diligent about watching their kids, especially in a shared public space. |
You sound like an individual who was suppressed in childhood. |
+1 even 10 year old spoiled brats don't speak or behave that way |
You know we had similar situation with my DH recently. We were driving in different state and stopped to use the restroom.I had to go and my DH was waiting for me outside. My husband told me after that some group of girls(9-12 years old) came to him and yelled at him asking :"Do you want to be pied???" They had some sort of pies in their hands. He said it was the weirdest thing. |
I sure do. And I never, ever behaved in that manner. I wouldn't have dreamed of embarrassing my family in that way. |
+1 and my parents would've gave me a good spanking if I did some of those things. In one case, I think the parent was in on it.. the part where the parent was holding the kid as the kid was jumping on the arm chairs or something. I do no let my kids jump on furniture in other people's homes or other public places. |
This is the most astute comment of the bunch, in my opinion. Sad, but true. |
|
One percenters who operate in the corporate world have a different viewpoint. They want kids who are risk takers and who won't take guff. They want a kid who sees a grade of "B" on a test paper as an initial negotiating point.
How is this sad? Without risk-takers we wouldn't have Apple,Facebook etc |
Don't worry Landon. Just because daddy sent you to boarding school doesn't mean he doesn't love you. |
Risk-taking does not equal wrecking up the place. Jumping on furniture, throwing balls indoors, putting food all over the table and in heating vents. This is terrible behavior, not risk-taking. |
This must be hitting a little to close to home for you? |
I would be more worried if my child was sitting playing quietly in the corner.I would think something wrong with him. |
+2. Never heard of the place and agree that it does not sound like I'm missing anything. |
Ah. You condone bad behavior and try to pathologies normal introversion. Nope. Not buying. I'll keep my well behaved smart, quiet kid. You and Landon enjoy Chevy. Sounds horrid. |
