hiding holiday weight gain

One year, my DH and I were both disgusted with our post holiday bodies. In the New Year, we took markers and outlined all the areas the other person needed to work on. It was harsh but effective.

To each her own, but this would be really hard to take in my opinion-- it definitely would kill my desire for the other person. I feel sick imagining the huge circle around my belly though.

OP, there's a young woman in my office who's usually skinny who got really chubby this holiday season. I think it's normal to go off the rails a bit sometimes, it just matters what you can learn from it. If you cut all refined carbs hopefully it comes off really fast.

That is so messed up. Hope this is fake.

Yeah, the above sounds like a troll/nip tuck episode to me.

OP here: I wound up buying two bras, new jeans, two new sweaters and two new dresses yesterday to get by. I went from a size 4 to a size 8/10 in the past two months which is pretty scary, especially bc it's all fat. I also went up three bra sizes, which is getting me a lot of love at home, but is pretty embarrassing. I don't know how this happened so fast.

I know I weighed around 141 in early October and I weighed 163 this morning (I'm between 5'6 and 5'7). I don't think it's a medical issue because I recognize I've been really overdoing it (mmmmm....fudge....).

Does anyone have bra advice? I have perma-cleavage and am sort of threatening to pop out of my bras but would rather not buy new bras because I plan to lose the weight in the new year. What's the minimal amt of new stuff I can get away with buying?

In what world is 141 size 4?

I'm 141 now (PPT so I'm 15 lbs over normal) and I'm a size 10 at 5'6". I've got big boobs too (size E) so it's not all in my tummy and thighs, either.

At your current weight, I think you're more like a size 12?

I used to be pretty fit, so like, 28 inch waist, 37 inch hips=size 4 at most mall brands. If you shop higher end it might be different.

I am 38-27-38 and a size 8. Same height as you. Store brands.

Oh great, another thread devolving into height/weight/size accusations.

Can't really explain sizing (I have very skinny legs which could contribute) but all I can say is def not a size 4 anymore. ::--(

I guess it's also possible I was forcing the fit a little on my latest shopping run because I was already struggling with the fact I was so many sizes bigger.

Usually you can get it off fast if you put it on fast. Stop putting things in your mouth! Really just stop

The hard thing about dieting is that you cannot just stop eating. You can go cold turkey on cigarettes or booze but you can't 'just stop' putting things in your mouth.
