If your spouse videotapes you in the shower

Oh shut up noob.

"Shut up," he explained.

Yes . Yes. Yes. but what is the harm?

Psychological harm! Broken trust, lack of control over what happens to one's body or images of it, etc.

Got it. All inside your head.

You could say that, but I would say that any spouse who disregards that harm is a sociopath who deserves to have his ass kicked and handed to him. He also deserves any charges I would file against him for unlawful surveillance, capturing an image of nudity without consent and possessing/distributing/exhibiting a recording of nudity without consent – all Class A felonies in most jurisdictions.

So really, troll, the question you should be asking is what the harm is to YOU for engaging in lewd and lascivious behavior.

I can say, with certainty, there is a lot of harm and I hope it is fully inflicted on you to the fullest extent of the law, jackass.

After you get over the shock that your body is floating in cyberspace, you need to realize that that image cannot be tied to your identity. At that point, no one really gives a #$%^ anymore. Just another anonymous shower video. What harm does it do to you? Only harm is in your own head.

The harm is that someone is stealing from you without permission. If I take an intimate video of you and post it without permission, I have violated your privacy, breached your trust, and sold you out.

What harm does rape really do? Once it's over, it's over. As long as there's no pregnancy, disease, or lasting physical injury, where is the actual harm? All inside the "victim's" head, right?

Right?

Such a bad example. Not even the same thing.

Just takes 1 person to recognize you for it to ruin your life.

Ruin your life? we're talking about being see nude here. I'm going to wager lots of people have seen your body (docs, nurses, etc)
.

Agree with those who think the DH is posting the devils advocate posts.

DH you need help you asshole. But, you think too highly of yourself to believe that. Your self righteousness and complete lack of empathy are indicative of a serious problem. But you will never know that. I hope your wife dumps your ass as soon as possible. I hope there are no children.

I am DH advocate PP. I am not the OP's DH. I stand by the fact that if you cannot be recognized, the only harm is the embarrassment you would feel in your head. Then once you realize no one else knows it's you, it's not really that bad anymore. People here raise their arms and get their panties in a twist as though you commited murder or something. And that one poster who compared this to rape? LOL.

She was comparing rape to this! That's nuts!

Thing is, subjective harm is still real harm. So, you know, don't be an asshole if you can reasonably avoid it. Not making a video of the shower is reasonably easy to accomplish.

PP, have you ever been tested for psychopathy? I'm not being snarky. You are severely lacking in empathy and have some very warped justification ideas.

I have been labelled a siociopath here before. No, i have never been tested. I do have empathy in public but being anon here really brings out the honesty.

No, it's never okay to videotape someone without their knowledge.

Violation pure and simple. It doesn't matter if it were a spouse.

+1

Also illegal.

I really don't think you're mentally healthy. "Normal" people don't have empathy for public show. They don't act empathetic. It's not a deliberate decision. It's something that's innate. You seem to be really lacking that.

If you only have empathy "in public" then you don't have empathy.

Not the PP, but personally I feel like I have a lot of empathy but very little sympathy. In other words, I can easily put myself in someone else's position and know how they're feeling. But I don't particularly care about those feelings.
