Do you wear make-up every day?

Yes. And I think I do look more polished and professional. I feel better and more confident. Makeup is not the enemy ladies.

I realized a few years ago that the reason I needed makeup was because my skin had imperfections from always being covered up and clogged by makeup. So I quit using makeup, and wha-la! My skin is fine.

Wha-la is not a word, unless you are in grade school. It's voila.

I do, though not much. Usually just a very thin layer of base to even tone, perhaps a little bronzer, and some eyeliner and gloss.

concealer, light eyeliner/mascara, powder-type foundation
...that's it...and not even every day

What foundation, if any, do you use? I'm always trying to find a barely noticeable foundation. The ones I've tried seem so heavy.

Try a makeup brush. If you have the right shade and a brush, you need very little foundation to get good coverage and even out your skin tone. It doesn't look or feel heavy at all applied this way.

On weekends I am a huge fan of Physician's Formula Organic Wear tinted moisturizer. Feels great, light coverage, makes my skin glow.

No, and I'm 44. What is BB cream? I wear makeup when I go out on the town with my husband and/or friends, but otherwise I don't bother.

Just curious...for those of you who do not wear make-up, what does your skin look like? I have hyper pigmentation from old acne, and I need something to cover it to even it out. I also have dark circles, so I need a concealer to take care of that. Blush helps my skin look fresh, and gives me a hint of a healthy glow. I am very pale, so this is necessary. I need mascara, because without it, I have no eyelashes. They are blonde and invisible. I am a girl who needs make-up just to show off my features.

I do light foundation, blush, mascara and lipstick/gloss everyday. It makes me feel more put together.

If I am going out, I do a little more, like eyeshadow.

I am 38 years old and 5 feet tall so without make-up, I look like a teenager. My thoughts are that people take me seriously when I look older.

If you are wearing it correctly, then this is NOT TRUE.

Make-up is meant to enhance. How is that fake?

So I suppose you wear jeans, a white tee and a ponytail all day everyday so you can be "real?"

I used to love getting the Sandra Lee "cookbooks" from the library because I find the general ghastliness highly entertaining. I have to say a highlight of one of the books was when she wrote - and it managed to clear the editor's desk - "wha-la!"

ever so often I'll add bb cream to my moisturizer. That and a little color on cheeks.

Yes. Every day. When I look fabulous, I feel fabulous. I don't overdo it and depending on how my skin looks I may go without foundation but always wear some blush, a touch of eyeliner and mascara. Lips are usually just some sort of gloss.

I dot and blend concealor, use the nars bronzer/blush duo for very quick contouring (I have NO cheekbones), very subtle winged dark brown eyeliner on top lid only and mascara. Takes less than 5 minutes depending on how long traffic will stand still at a time.

+1

I love my stippling brush. It's magic. Or you could try a Beauty Blender. Everyone raves about it.
